Irelia; Floating Blades "Rework Concept"

Do not take this post to heart at all please! What I want to do here is create a gameplay kit for Irelia that would reflect on the fact that she uses floating blades as her weapon because frankly her current kit just does not show she uses floating blades except her ultimate a little bit but is more like she is just throwing blades more than anything. So this post I am treating like it is a serious concept post, but importantly it is for fun. You may kindly give your thoughts and opinions on it, but I want this to be a chill and relax place; so be nice or be gone.

Basic Attack Range: 125 units

Blade Surfing (Passive): Passive Ranks: 1/6/11/16 All ally and enemy champions leave behind intense trails of wind as they walk for 3 seconds that allows Irelia to surf on these trails with one of her blades causing her to always be in motion, move 15/20/25/30% faster, and ignore all unit collision while surfing.

Bladesurge (Q): Cooldown: 2 seconds; Cost: 40/45/50/55/60 Mana; Range: 1050 units Passive: Every unit that is executed by Bladesurge will restore 5/7/9/11/13 Mana.

Active: Irelia sends out two blades from each side of her in the target direction curving out and then back in to deal 10/45/80/115/150(+100%AD) physical damage to every unfriendly unit struck and once they reach the end of their path they will return to Irelia in a direct path backwards only slowing every struck unfriendly unit by 50% for 1/1.25/1.5/1.75/2 seconds. Irelia may hold up to 2 sets of blades at one time taking 12/11/10/9/8 seconds [lowers with cooldown reduction] to store 1 set of blades.

Hiten Style (W): Cooldown: 18/15/12/9/6 seconds; Cost: 30/45/60/75/90 Mana Passive: Irelia's blades and basic attacks have lightning properties on them to deal 20/30/40/50/60(+10%AD) bonus magic damage and apply a stacking slow to her targets by +2/4/6/8/10% for 1.5 seconds that stacks up to 5 times. At 5 stacks the next basic attack will stun her target for 0.8/0.9/1/1.1/1.2 seconds and reset the stacks. The same target cannot be stunned again until 8 seconds has passed.

Active: Irelia floats in the air with blades spinning by her feet for the next 6 seconds causing her to gain +15/20/25/30/35 movement speed, she does not stop her movement upon basic attacking, gain +50 bonus range to her basic attacks, and reduces the duration of knock-ups by 30/35/40/45/50%.

Ionian Fervor (E): Cooldown: 18/16/14/12/10 seconds; Cost: 60/70/80/90/100 Mana; Range: 750 units; Dash Range: Always 750 units Irelia's blade feels her passion causing the blade and herself to dash in a line towards the target enemy and dealing 80/120/160/200/240(+60%Bonus AD)(+60%AP) physical damage to all unfriendly units passed through.

Transcendent Blade (R): Cooldown: 40 seconds; Cost: 120/90/60 Mana; Range: 1000 units; Irelia Misses the Blade Range: 1200 units Passive: If Irelia catches the Transcendent Blade then the cooldown is reduced by 60/80/100% down to a minimum of 1.5 seconds.

Active: Irelia summons a transcendent blade at a fixed location to quickly travel towards Irelia's general location in a straight line and deal 120/160/200(+250%Bonus AD)(+100%AP) true damage to all unfriendly units struck along its path.

This champions has magical >bloody< floating blades yo! And a lot of them! This actually sounds so much fun to play with blades flying and floating everywhere slicing up her opponents. The concept of having a floating blade champion is actually super cool if it was delivered properly. This community is infamous for pooping on people's ideas, but honestly just enjoy creativity instead of snuffling it out entirely and discouraging creative processes. ~ Stacona

So a good Irelia with just a item 3078 at lvl 16 can have a 494 pure damage nuke on a 1.5 second CD? Seems a little op.

But...but...but... better nerf Irelia though... 200% AD is two basic attacks or less than one critting basic attack - the spell is delayed before firing off and can be dodged - but pretty much I think having one powerful blade rather than 4 shtty blades even if the 4 shtty blade is way more total damage, having the satisfying catch mechanic feels good and having little bit of oomph from one powerful strike is better than more power over 4 smaller strikes - as long as the scaling is late game over early game it is balanced in those terms as well since Irelia can be exploited and taken advantage off in the early game - that or just straight up overpowered =P

The damage is fine, Im concerned with the 1.5 second CD.

1.5 static cooldown + delay of spell afterwards; i turned it into a bonus AD ratio; the total AD might have been over kill through out the game but having the spell reset every time you catch the blade late game would be a unique thing and the blade coming in rather than going out makes it this transcendent majestic powerful floating blade rather than throwing knives =P

While interesting, the mechanics are counterintuitive and would be a drastic change from Irelia as she is now.

What you mean counter intuitive ; Irelia right now is this unique tank assassin girl who primarily basic attacks - Besides this post is introducing a kit involving around Irelia actually using Floating Blades

Goods and Bads for my floating blade concept: ~ She no longer has health sustain, but now she has waveclear and more AoE so this makes her better split pushing and teamfight while still being a primarily basic attack tank-assassin --- besides health sustain doesn't thematically make any sense since why does blades heal her ~ Stun is less dominating and grants a good heads-up to players before they get stunned; mainly hard cc on mobile assassin types is problematic, but since she doubles as a tank the hard cc is required to have ~ She sticks super well now, but she currently sticks super well currently; The added slows is good for a more tank build, but Irelia being mobile through movement speed rather than dashes and no longer having CC immunity passive allows for better counter play against her since she can be stunned and such as well as kited; but if she gets on you she can always be able to stick to you like glue ~ She can do more with this kit and it is a lot more dynamic in playstyle while her current kit is one-dimensional and static (not always a bad thing to be one-dimensional, but it is pretty bland non-the-less) ~ She actually uses floating blades, and is super cool and badass with them!!!

tl;dr : She feels more balanced / easily balance-able here while have a more thematically in-game pleasing kit conceptually and most likely fun to play over a simple dash to target, stun, kill with right-clicks

Also I think Irelia's core primarily tank-assassin primarily basic attack damage is in tact identity - but overall this concept was meant to be a more drastic kit differential with the floating blades which ironically she didn't change too much just more obvious floating blades for her spells and what appears to be better balanced / easily balance-able than her current kit

What I mean is that the mechanics themselves feel very strange.
