Q grants no mobility or survivability on use and It's a skillshot that you effectively have to hit twice to maximize damage. Despite that, why is it that every time Sylas needs a buff, Riot chooses his W? Everyone despises his fucking healing.
Because as a fighter/bruiser he need sustain (since his base hp per 5 is on the low end)? Everyone who bitches about his healing are the same people that dont buy these: 
W incentivizes going in. Q does not. If Q is too strong, he has less reason to commit anything with drawbacks that can accompany it.
Not that I'm supporting Sylas being nerfed, he's rarely done well in solo queue on average. But making his laning have clear windows which skilled players can exploit might give him room for solo queue power again.
