Every few months Riot overbuffs an otherwise balanced champion just because nobody plays them.

Seriously, what reason was there to even fuck with Morgana? Morg players weren't complaining, complaints about playing against her pale in comparison to others, and her winrate wasn't particularly low or high. Why not just leave her alone and focus on the billions of other blatantly more problematic champions? Morgana should've been a low priority. Now I'm worried that she's eventually going to be nerfed into an even WORSE state than she was before the buffs.

Ok but they just added 15% of it from an easily accessible rune? Clearly it just doesn't make sense on certain champions like Morgana when her own kit limits her ability to use her passive.

Maybe because spellvamp has always been problematic on mages and not on AD casters?

But hey let's ignore the facts of champs like Vladimir, Mordekaiser, Morgana, Kennen, Rumble, etc absolutely abusing it in the past and complain about Riot favoring AD fighters and assassins even though fighters are garbage rn and assassins literally haven't been in the spotlight since last preseason.

Last time I checked Morgana was a mage.

Akali still has a heal on her passive. It was reworked to be more interactive because Riot doesn't like passives that give hidden power.

Why should AD casters have spellvamp when they can just have lifesteal/d dance? How it is now, mages are the only class that actually have to recall late game after getting chunked. AD champs can lifesteal/D dance sustain. Tanks have warmogs. AP assassins have gunblade. Mages get nothing.

Morgana passive was perfectly fine until they decided to mess with her. As was Akali before they decided to actually make her pre 6 (her only real weak point) not as weak.

Her "Spellvamp" is now not on damage to minions but for that not reduced by 1/3 for aoe. And LeeSin still has Spellvamp on his e. Even so that he also has Lifesteal and he could maybe be changed at some point that his e works like item 3146 omnniheal. But for now: Lee sin: Spellvamp; item 3156 : Spellvamp; item 3065 and the Rune Revitalize: Boosts Spellvamp.

they intentionally break someone sometimes to keep people interested. that is literally it. if it wasn't for riot constantly evolving people more than Khazix we would have lost interest a while ago

also if the champ is shit tier its to get people to play them and make them relevant again, because reworked people are fun to play

His last real change of note was a nerf to his Q AP ratio, all the way back in season 3. Other than that, the guy hasn't been seriously touched since season 1.

It sucks that LB mains have to suffer due to Riot's inability to take an overly oppressive champion and not rework her into another overly oppressing champion.

This is actually been a design flaw with Riot for quite some time, quite frankly since the major reworks started. The new kits they're making are so fundamentally overloaded they are either S tier busted or numerically nerfed into oblivion.

She's been a stable mid-laner for literally years while naturally falling in and out of the meta bot. But now its only a matter of time until Peanut or some other dude goes nuts on her and she gets nerfed. I can already see the bullshit.

"Overall we're pretty happy with Morgana's new role in the jungle, however her ganks are just a little TOO effective early game, especially considering how much utility she has all game long, so we're going to give her a few light taps on her early game power.

Morg is my highest Mastery Point champ, cause I really like her, and I still play her mid. The changes made me sad, not because they were bad, but because I realized just HOW good is was about to make her and it bummed me out.

What is now gonna happen is they are likely going to over nerf her, and because of the changes, the nerfs will end up kicking her in the lady balls, cause as we've seen with Sona, they won't stop with one buff, it will be like 7, and then she will end up worse than she started.

i know the feeling, i thought the same thing about cho when they changed his r and e, lowered his q mana cost (one of his biggest but more suttle problems) and then the introduction of Gargoyle stoneplate and the change to cinder hulk, rightous glory and locket just made him so strong that for almost 2 weeks i didnt get to play him in draft because he was perma banned.

But once i did, i got to play a cho support for a khalista and i think that may have been worth it. but rip to all the other champs who may get this treatment

ps: also i think galio is getting the malzahar treatment where they cant decide whether he should be a tank, mage, or a fighter and nerfing one aspect in order to buff/ change another just makes him weak in his current role but strong in another

The change was meant to help Morg return to Mid Lane, instead of being stuck as a glorified Mage-support. It isn't random, they've been trying to do that with Zyra and Brand too.

Yeah, but she had zero incentive to go mid, when Bot is so much easier for her and a partner. When she was popular mid, she became a stall fest of clearing waves. (I have a fond memory of a Morg vs Malz lane two seasons ago. By the time laning was done, we were both 0/0/0, and 200 CS up)

The changes were meant to encourage actually fighting your laner, instead of just "Throw Pool on Waves", as I've seen plenty of times in the past before.

I think its because the vocal minority of Morg players were complaining that her Midlane was really really lackluster, they wanted buffs to her that wouldn't hit her supporting in a way. The same thing happened to Zyra, and now both of them can jungle and their midlanes have actually become more fun to play and are better overall while their supporitng isn't hit. Its basically the riot team finally living up to their claim of "we want Morgana/Zyra to be viable in mid and support" and now they are and they can jungle so they are more versatile

They do care, don't make up stuff. They have said that the league board has a minor amount of players using it and the community here doesn't speak for the rest of player base. They do take them into consideration but they cant balance based just on the boards community. Just because they don't respond as much as people would like here, doesn't mean they aren't monitoring it.
