League of Legends Community

I have only been playing the game for two months now. For the most part I love the game, but what I really have a problem with is this community. I recently read a thread about how Riot thinks there community is good and mature . . . . you probably know what I am talking about. Unfortunately that statement is a blatant lie. Almost every player I have been in a match with, no ranked matches, has been immature, rude to me or someone else, used high inappropriate language in game towards other players, and purposefully attacked someone in the group to get a negative reaction from them. Is the entire League of Legends community little children? From what I have been seeing it is because this community RIot is going on about is nothing like they describe them. I have reported nearly 78 players from now to last Monday. All of these 78 players were someone that harassed me mainly, and other players that do not deserve it. I do not know where these mature and courteous players are, but Riot you are wrong. The League of Legends Community is horrible and immature. I really hope that Riot is seriously permanently banning these players like they say they are. I can get over players disconnecting and going afk. What I cannot get over is someone calling me the N word or using other words to negative describe someone. It is horrible.

I really wish there was an option to turn off chat entirely. I do not want to deal with these players anymore.

Bro, when they said the community is "mature", they meant that teenagers and adults play it, not children. As in, it's considered acceptable to use profane language (like fuck, damn, bitch, etc). If you don't want to see that kind of language, turn on the language filter. They put it in there just for people with that issue. It's not a reportable offense unless they specifically harass you. See the page on the summoner's code for examples.

Also, there is a thing called /mute all. It saves you from typing in /mute X champion 10,000 times.

Mute or ignore them all. The ability to communicate through chat is highly overrated. /Ignore ALL will add every player in game to your ignore list, they will be ignored if you ever play with them again, you can also '/ignore enemy', or '/ignore ally' (these will ignore the enemy team and your team respectively). Same thing can be done with the /Mute command. The difference between Mute and Ignore is '/Mute' is for the duration of the match you are playing, while '/Ignore' adds them to your ignore list so they will be ignored in further games shouldf there be any. My ignore list has hundreds and hundreds of people, every year or so I delete a whole bunch. Best of luck in your future games, there are decent people that play this game, a lot of em, it just takes a while to find em.

Could play with myself and my team if you'd like. I hate the toxic community too, trust me. I've been trying for a long time to make a good friend base so I didn't have to solo queue ever again.

Play a round of dominion sometime. That map isn't half as toxic as SR. Other than that, I'd recommend muting people on either the scoreboard or by typing /mute into chat.
