If You Refuse To Group Playing A Team Fight Champion And Feed In Ranked..

That IS intentional feeding and you deserve every report that's given to you, if you are reported. You knew full well what your champion does and if you did not, you should not have been playing it. If your Champion is DESIGNED to be in team fights and you think you're some type of godly AFK farming split pusher that's fine, but you should also understand that when IT'S CLEARLY NOT WORKING that you should stop and play your champion the way it was intended to be used. It's not fun for anyone when you keep constantly feeding the enemy team playing your champion incorrectly and is highly unsportsmanlike, not to mention, whether you think it is or not it's still intentional feeding. Maybe in your head you want to believe that you're good and that it was just unlucky that you got caught out 1500 times, that doesn't change that it's feeding and if after 2-3 times you didn't figure out it's not working then it's definitely intentional.

Please be a team player and play the game the way it was intended if your off-build master plan fails.

Thanks.

The odds are more likely that this situation is caused by the team flaming whoever it is that is refusing to group.

While I admit I've done it before the entire team used a plethora of insults and flame pings before I told them that I was going to be splitpushing indefinitely for the remainder of the game

No it's not really about flaming, it's low ELO mentality which I keep seeing over and over. My post could have been better worded but I really just summed it up without too much wordiness. People aren't willing to contribute to team fights, a wave bottom looks more appealing to most ADC's in Bronze / Silver than the penta kill they could have had at mid lane. Fights could be won, however a lot of people would rather shove a lane into the enemy tower than contribute with their team.

On some champions, this is perfectly fine honestly. If it's Udyr or Nasus, it's almost expected that they are just going to do split push all game. The bigger concern comes when your team has a huge damage threat like Miss Fortune and the player just wants to attempt to farm and split push all game with absolutely zero team interactions. Since they are a gap closerless AD, they constantly keep dying being overextended with no Support with them and provide the enemy team with a huge advantage. Not only did one of our team's biggest sources of damage die, they are getting fed from it as well.

In my last game, it was a double problem as our team also had a Master Yi who fed the entire game and did nothing besides try to split push as well. I have nothing against Yi, he's a fantastic split pusher. Once more, the bigger issue is the fact that he's died 10+ times and he has no contribution to our team. We can't win fights 3v5 with our Miss Fortune and Master Yi dead, nor can we provide any pressure on the map without the risk of getting aced.

I get people are going to down vote this thread because they believe I'm trying to say that split pushing is wrong. That's pretty far from what I'm attempting to say however.

I see what you were saying now. To make sure I am on the same page as you I shall restate what I can derive from what you've written. The problem you see is that there is a low ELO mentality which causes players to split apart from their team and do not try and group with the rest of the team as well as not help the team with as much impact as you see they could

As unfortunate as this meta is with the earlygame being most prevalent( see: item 3814 item 3142 item 3147 Jhin Varus Jayce Pantheon) Most player's only options when the enemy is fed is to either Splitpush and farm as an attempt to catch up to the (example) 13/3/5 Jayce or to feel ashamed as they can't make the impact that they feel they should make.

I do have to disagree with you on the problem being a "low ELO mentality" rather I would say the problem is that riot has inferred a global mentality of Good KDA is better than towers/dragons/barons taken or percentage(%) of games won.

The mentality reinforced by a vocal and moderate portion of the community is growing at a steady pace; the KDA mentality will cause toxicity to spew more naturally than what it would normally be without such a mentality.

I will assume you play Riven quite a lot and have gotten to be a very prominent user of Riven due to your name mentioning riven. In retrospect it means nothing if you play riven or not.

What does matter is everyone's mentality while playing league is diverting to a state which is unhealthy for new players to join, unhealthy for those looking to have a more family-friendly environment, and unhealthy for the majority of players.

My report weight is a lot higher than zero, I can tell you that for sure. I never falsely report anyone. If I believe someone is trying their best I will never report them even if they were an asshole to me or my team. Perhaps you have the wrong idea from my post but that's fine. My post is about players who are unwilling to work with their team. I rarely, if ever have lost a game where my team was working together. These players who probably /mute all split push and feed until we lose are a whole different animal. Nothing against split pushing, but there's a point where it clearly does not work.

True. It has nothign to do with flaming. Actually, flaming comes after. Normally, flaming occurs in two sitations.

  1. A very toxic player
  2. A player not listening to their team

the one i see most is the second one. If your team tells you to do something, and you dont do it and end up feeding, that should be intentional feeding. At least it should count like it in ranked games. In low elo, there way too many players that dont listen even if you talk to them in a respectable way. Im pretty sure this can be reported as negative attitude, but no one is getting banned or penalized for it.

A good sugestion would be to give a 24h ranked ban (Only Ranked games) to those who get reported a lot for not listening their team.
