I'd rather surrender at 20 than lose at 45

Yeah sometimes you can turn a game around. But sometimes I just look at my team and despair. I might do somewhat good in my lane, then the overfed enemies come and stomp me. And THEN I get the flame from the premade jungle&bot who ruined it all in the first place.

All that energy and effort needed to make this even somewhat possible to win... nah, not worth it. Yeah, sure of course I could help stall this out until lategame, but as I said, nah. Especially not for toxics in my team.

Dear toxic premades voting no, at some point I don't even WANT you to win. I just tune in some show on my second screen and keep playing half-assed until you finally vote yes or the game ends. If you go 0/12/0 bot and lose everything including the inhibitor on 15 minutes, do you really think I consider you having the remote skill needed for a comeback? Hell no. You are incompetent and I want this game to end as fast as possible so I never have to play with you ever again.

End losing games early, focus on those you can and actually WANT to win. In those 25 minutes I have to sit through thanks to a moron's stubborness I could have started a new game and potentially won that one.

"Never surrender" might get you out of Bronze and Silver, but beyond that people don't throw so easily. So stop wasting my time and energy. Thx.

Practice is practice so it doesn't matter to me.

I'll learn more in 45 minutes than I will in 20.

And post 20 is the harder part of the game to get practice on. It's easy to get practice on the first 20 minutes since they come before the next 25. Ya gotta sit in a game for 20 minutes to get to the point where you can practice your late game...and mid game.

Some people don't want to learn though and just want fast results. I understand OP. Gotta get that quick win fix

So, watching an enemy team totally tear your base apart with nothing you can do is practice?

By that logic getting beaten up by bullies counts as fighting practice. Nice logic.

Or some people have better things to do than play a lost game Even though ranked is for serious playing, people still like to have fun because in the end LoL is a game and what's the point if it's not fun?

I can tolerate Never Surrender mentality in ranked, though I also hate being stuck in unwinnable games. But refusing to surrender a game where the enemy can 3v5 Ace your team in a normal achieves nothing besides wasting everyone's time. Some of us are busy and only have 1 hour to play games. Wasting 15-20 mins of everyone's time means that's the only game they get to play. If your response to that is "quit, then", well that's why the game's population has shrunk.
