I just got out of an hour long game
You would have thought them all but extinct, wouldn't you have?

Aw man, that must mean that the game isn't actually decided by the early snowball, huh?
Hold your horses, meta-defenders. This does not mean that this was a good game.
Before I start into this tirade, our team actually knew we had a shot at winning. Out of the entire game, if I remember correctly only one surrender vote was called, and it got shut down pretty handily. The reason that we knew we had a shot, however, was because the enemy literally only split-push while every one of their fights was an uncoordinated mess, on top of them playing blatantly scared.
Now by "playing scared" I mean that they literally would back off of hitting objectives at the slightest aggression from our teammates, whether they could clearly win the skirmish or not. This meant that our nexus survived for over half an hour being completely exposed. Because they would stop hitting it the moment we got close. So I guess lesson one is to learn how, when, and where to throw your weight around, as they could have easily destroyed the Nexus for the majority of the game up until maybe around minute 50 when 3 of our team members were able to practically oneshot 4 out of 5 of their team members. It also helped that they had a support Darius. He was in all practicality worthless with how he built.
In total, the enemy had gotten 5 barons and 3 elder dragons. With literally every dragon before that going to them.
For 10 straight minutes literally none of us could fight the enemy Udyr alone and he would barrel through our turrets to gib anyone who defended, literally confining the entire team to the Nexus platform until the final push at 58 minutes in. We lost more than 4 towers being literally unable to kill the enemy attacking the tower before they could rip it down.
I am ranting on these points to drive home the fact this was a game that felt like it should have been over 30 minutes before it ended, and 10 minutes before that point even. Had the enemy team literally just coordinated and worked together, we would have lost without contest.
Now, okay. "Teamwork wins games". Woo hoo. The actual point is that the enemy team's early game was so utterly stifling the game was in all practicality unwinnable except by the lack of their coordination and intelligent play.
#This means that a completely uncoordinated team of people can win a game just by brute force in the current meta based solely on what champions they went.
#What proves this point is the fact that when the enemy team started "winning", they were practically even in gold with our team. They literally just plowed down objectives in front of us early because they knew we couldn't do anything about it.
I liked my team. In fact, I felt good after completing the game. After completing the game. The game itself was more stressful than any hour long game I've ever played while never feeling fair throughout the entirety of it - it legitimately felt at the end like we had just cheated some kind of evil out of its prize that it should have by all means received.
It's so mind boggling that, even after walking away feeling good after a game, there's still a sense of bitterness attached to it just from the stress-aftertaste.
This meta and season fucking bite.
######If any of my teammates from that game visit these boards, I luv u guiz
