A suggestion from a toxic player

Im currently chat restricted, and ranked restricted until I win 2 more normal draft pick games

heres my suggestion: Dont ranked restrict people for toxic behavior, save that for the players who get report for unskilled, trolling, feeding ect

because whats a ranked restriction supposed to do if the player doesnt play ranked? versus if a ranked player gets reported for feeding he has to now go win two more unranked games HE HAS TO WIN THEM he cant just play them and lose, meaning he has to try and do well and carry and not feed ect

Being "unskilled" is not a thing Riot punishes players for. If you cannot sustain a 50% winrate you will lose MMR until you can, or until you hit the bottom of B5. If you can sustain a 50% winrate then you're in an okay place on the ladder.

Players who actually feed intentionally get banned. Permanently, if they are persistent enough. Having a bad game is not intentionally feeding.

"Trolling" is so vague I have no idea where to even start. Generally people just label any behavior they dislike as "trolling".

If you can't play nice with others, you get a timeout until you prove you can. Effective in kindergarten and Ranked.

the problem is if a player doesnt play ranked how does a ranked ban effect them? it doesnt

Huh? You only get Ranked restrictions if you get reported while playing Ranked, AFAIK.

What's your suggestion for what the penalty should be instead of being locked out of ranked? Because so far it simply sounds like "I wish I wasn't being punished".

I was suggesting they move the ranked bans to those who are bad at the game... being bad at the game should be punished in competitve play alot of games nowadays if you do bad in competitve play or simply act like you dont care if you win or lose, its a ban from competitve play

Dont want to play good in ranked/ dont want to try in ranked? then you cant play ranked anymore

Okay, let's take everyone in B5 and ban them from Ranked because they're "bad".

Next week do we do the same to everyone in B4? Then the rest of Bronze? Do we keep doing that until only Master/Challenger players are allowed to play Ranked?

Someone is going to be at the bottom of the ladder no matter what you do. The entire point of a Ranked ladder is to let you see where you stand. Banning people at the bottom makes no sense -- all they do is play with the other people around the same skill as them.

its not banning people at the bottom, its banning them FROM ranked for continuious horrid play (IE they lose 20+ games in a row)

bronze five players dont lose 20+ games in a row they win some and lose some

most games out there

will ban you for game throwing, if you do something that results in a loss? you can be banned for it, from ranked play that is

That would be what the "intentional feeding" and "assisting enemy team" report options are for. Riot already bans players for intentionally losing. There's even a system that automatically flags players who appear to be feeding intentionally for review.

You know... I kind of sympathize with part of your point. If I were to get restricted on this account (I'm perfect so this is hypothetical,) it would mean literally nothing to me. I don't play ranked at this point. Does the punishment vary based on whether or not a player does ranked? Because it should.

I dont think it does, Its just thrown in there with "you get X amount of warning then you get X amount of games you get chat restricted then you get X amount of normal draft games that you MUST WIN before you can play ranked then you get the 2 week ban then if you still havent learned you get perma banned.

Ive gotten the 2 week ban before then became alot nicer got an honor ribbon for being friendly at one point,

so over time it resets, so you could get the 2 week ban, not get reported/play/do anything for 2 months and it would be reset back to if you get reported you get warnings games/games again
