Is there a reason we only have two Attack Speed + Attack Damage items?

Are they like unhealthy or something? So many items with AS and Crit, or AD and CDR, but I haven't seen any AS + AD items in forever.

and are the only items that give both stats currently.

I think it is because getting both would be really strong... possibly unhealthily so. With a high attack damage, high attack speed item you'd basically get such a power spike on an ADC or melee carry like tryn because AA's are 0 cost 0 cooldown damaging "abilities."

pretty much this. ADC's normally rush BF Sword > Zeal Item (Hurricane/Shiv/Rapid/PD) > Finish BF (IE/ER)

BF is for flat damage but w/o attack speed were pretty much irrelevant in the mid game. Autos would do more damage but over all DPS would decrease as were shooting less

if we were to get a high damage high attack speed item in the game (like say 60-70 AD +25-35% Att Spd) it would be an insta rush on most, if not all, ADC's and we would spike too early in the mid game giving us too much power early on

Rageblade isn't strong enough to rush the AD is low and it just doesn't provide enough to buy first

Edit: although looking at the item itself it gives +53 AD and +73% AttSpd +15 on-hit damage at max stacks for 300 gold less then BF+Shiv which is +40AD +35% Att Spd and +30% Crit. it could work in theory to rush but your losing your crit chance. so damage cound be higher if you rushed Rageblade but it's dependent on RNG mostly.
