Hard stuck Platinum for many years, how to get better at the game?

Title. I started playing the game back in season 3 and managed to hit Gold, which I considered pretty good for my first season.

Season 4 I managed to get to Platinum.

After that though, I feel like all of my improvement pretty much ceased. Every season afterwards, I've been stuck at around mid platinum range unable to climb any further.

To be honest, I don't really care about the rank, it's the fact that I'm not improving at the game after those first two years that upsets me. ( Imagine going to the gym for many years and not getting any results)

What seperates platinum skill player from diamond skill player, and how can I finnaly improve?

Maybe some good/ up to date educational videos you guys would recommend?

First off... are you sure you aren't getting any better? if you aren't it's because you're losing hope :P These days it's 1000000% possible for teammates to ruin everything for the other players(some will deny that but don't let them.) so maybe get you a flex group going with microphone talk on and see how that goes. Like I can't even count how many times I OBLITERATED my lane and then just got camped so many times without a countergank/help it was actually a joke. League without a friend who will play with you IS 1v5. Dealing with randoms is just simply hell.

Watch some guides and try to see what you are lacking that high elo players have. Try to identify that first

In my experience mid plat and diamond are separated by macro knowledge and self tilting. Macro comes from watching better players and how they make decisions (and WHY they make those decisions). Self tilting just comes from being self aware and calming yourself.

In my experience the biggest factor that separates a platinum player from a low diamond, is just putting in the time to grind. When i had time to grind i climbed pretty smoothly, the last few years i haven't had the time to really hunker down and play solo for extended periods of time, and as a result i've been plat 5 for the last few seasons.

Same for the buddies on my friends list... the ones who are always on, eventually reached DIamond + this year. And the ones like myself just floated Plat.
