I feel like most of the people that complain about League are actively trying to NOT have fun

I would guarantee you that if people didn't have such shitty attitudes going into games, then over half of the threads complaining about how this game sucks wouldn't be here. Most of the threads I read on here are mostly speaking with emotion and with 0 logical approach to them. I wouldn't be surprised if half the time people die once in lane and then start flaming their team in chat because the game is now 100% lost and then afk and go online to complain about how there is something incredibly wrong with this game because they died once.

If you aren't having fun playing the game and you are still playing it expecting to have a good time, then you shouldn't complain when your shitty attitude causes you to have a bad time. How about, instead of playing a game that you don't like and just complain about all the time, you just don't do that instead? And maybe do something else that you do have fun with? Doesn't make much sense, but maybe you could give it a go.

I don't go into the game with a shitty attitude. I don't rage about comps or matchups. I don't flame when myself or anyone else dies. I barely talk at all except to coordinate objective calls. Sometimes I feed, sometimes I carry. Some days i'm good, some days i'm bad.

I don't meet any of your hyperbolic criteria, and can say without any emotional interjection, that this game sucks.

LoL used to be my favorite game. But now it isn't, because I usually don't have fun playing it anymore. Pretty simple.

i try not to have a bad attitude but when i get chucklefuck mcgees on my team who flame me after getting basically a 1v2 lane up top while my jungler playing the champion lee sin pretends they're a farming champion and I get forced from EXP and CS, slowly getting strangled, it becomes a particularly unfun game to play.

I wasn't about these subhu.... *cough *cough about tanks. Yeah sometimes (often) they're a jungler gap, but honestly by look at wave and map you can know when they'll try to dive you. Thats what i think after :

looked at my replay (playtv is great)
looked at Khan (seems like he know he'll get dived).

I just ask for basic human consideration.

I think there are a few good post here talking about stuff that's actually problematic and needs to be changed. Although I see a lot more post of people just ranting about some champion that isn't overpowered or an item that isn't broken and requesting nerfs. 90% of the time the people doing this are silver or low gold. Its not about a shitty attitude. I just feel like people are complaining about things to complain. I'm pretty sure I saw a post a couple days ago of someone who was complaining about Garen being impossible to kill. This is why rioters don't respond to anything in the gameplay category anymore.

I mean that probably applies to a lot of these threads, but there's also just less of the game to play now. Strategic elements have evaporated because once someone starts snowballing, you can outplay them all you want and still get blown up by whatever unavoidable instant burst is currently in this regressive meta. Or rather, real options to outplay in that situation no longer exist.

PvP games need tension to be interesting. When a huge portion of time is spent where it's hard to even imagine what the losing side could do to turn things around, there's just no tension. Add the fact that assassins and botlane are in a current state of fully preventing the other from playing the game, and you get a lot of wasted time that's just really difficult to enjoy.

Tldr its not impossible to have fun... its just way harder a good amount of the time.

You have to understand that league of legends is a competitive experience. Players turn in and expect some degree of fairness.

Figure it: I play a ranked game as a jungler, and I snowball the fuck out of me, my mid and my top but my bot is dead half of the time so that I can't even help them. Now, I don't pretend to win in that situation: the opponents have fed members on their team, we have ours; I expect a fair competition to unfold. Instead, we get ravaged and annihilated by their botlane because Riot balance team decided that botlane is the only thing that should matter in the last 2.5 years. To my perspective, I played perfectly and was rewarded with terrible one sided gameplay. This, to me, is neither fun nor fair.

You are right when you say: "you don't like it, don't play it". That's what I have done since last December. I went from an avid, attached player to somebody that plays Aram from time to time. But I am still pissed about a game I loved simply ruined by trash design.

I typically go into games looking to have fun because I bothered logging in because I saw or did something that reminded me of something fun in League. Then I play a game and at some point during it I get angry, annoyed, frustrated, or just exasperated because of numerous terrible things. Sometimes it's a champion that's simply infuriating to play against, sometimes it's teammates who have no idea how any aspect of the team play of the game works, sometime's it's the obvious terribleness of matchmaking, and all too often it's some jack ass who won't stop flaming no matter what.

The problem is that it's almost always something. I rarely play more than one or two games in a row now because it's rarely an overall enjoyable experience, win or lose. The number one reason I play another game is because the previous one felt like a complete wash, an awful waste of time that for some reason I still treat like a rare fluke and surely next game will be better... Next game is rarely better.

Nope,yasuo is just plain old cancer,not throwing your kit at his wall is easier said than done,i mean this aint cod,you throw something like MissFortune Lucian Fizz Katarina Caitlyn Jhin Syndra Ezreal ult,or just most regular skillshots and the travel time or just the fact that its channeled is more than enough for him to react and block a huge portion of your damage

Then the Yasuo is under no obligation to waste their wall on your other projectiles, they can just sit on it and deny you the opportunity to try and kill him.

Almost all of the listed champions can kill a Yasuo without their ults. If he decides it's not worth blocking their base kit, he will die.

MissFortune Deals tons of damage with a Auto-Q-auto and can kill him with DPS afterwards given appropriate peel. Lucian Deals tons of damage with his passive and Q (which pierces Windwall). Katarina Deals tons of damage with Dagger spins, Q, and Shunpo. Caitlyn Has great DPS the entire game, so she can kill him with peel. Also, she usually ults at the END of a fight, at which point Windwall SHOULD ALREADY BE BURNED. Ezreal R is inconsequential compared to his Q spam, which basically has no downtime.

Syndra needs her ult to kill Yas, but she can stun him to stop him from Walling the ult. Jhin can't really kill Yas at all, but trading Curtain Call for Windwall is worth it in a teamfight (since your ult is kinda mediocre anyway).

The only one the guy listed that is at all valid is Fizz since he HAS to lead with his ult to KO people late game.

The basic issue with laning is that one simple lag spike or mistake or a gank or a bit of luck will sway the rest of the whole game in the other teams favor. And now it is impossible to recover or come back. Like in COD, if you loose to someone, after respawning, you still have the same chance the next time, nit worse and worse.

I realize LOL is designed this way, but one little thing can throw the whole game and now you have to sit there for another 30 minutes with this shit you can't win as they stay just out of reach and your team mates wont FF because they all think it is close.

But the game isnt designed like that. That's a very recent development.

Uhm no it is designed that way. Items and levels put you so far ahead of the other laner that they can never recover. Just one item is gg.

Imagine we start a game bot lane and I show up with IE or BT on my adc and you have dorians blade.

Now imagine my support is an idiot and I get zoned out and have 30 cs and my opponent has 60 cs and 3 kills to my zero kills and one death. I will never be able to catch up in that game. And it all started from one play where he got the kill and then farmed his ass off while I got zoned out forming under tower. 12 minutes later, there is less and less I can do. They kill me under tower and take tower then go take mid.

It is a snow ball game.

Just one failed engage or one lucky hit will throw the whole game.

Except, what the above commenter was mentioning is that this has only happened in the last 2.5 years, specifically since the end of season 5, and patch 5.22.

Things like jungle changes, ADC buffs, ADC itemization buffs, runes being reworked, tank items getting fucking obliterated, pen formula changes, introduction of lethality, chnaging the way champions scale with level, adjusting (and mostly removing) base stats/old runes, adding catch-up exp, adding rift herald, adding scuttle and plants, new overloaded items, elemental drakes and elder instead of gold (coughinfernalcoughcough) all combine together to make defense a literal joke, and for damage to hyper scale across the game, with multiple objectives literally just adding more damage and sieging pressure.

The old balance of offense and defense is so fucked that even juggernauts and divers just stack hp and damage now instead of resist items. In competitive juggernauts are entirely unviable and divers build like support tanks to funnel even more gold and stats to the ADC as the hyper scaling of offensive stats just cannot be beaten.

I'm not gonna pretend like a lot of posts here aren't mindless rants about X champion, but there actually is some truth when it comes to the boards.

A lot of people have brought forward the length of games as a problem, issues with champion identity and damage creep as valid problems, but it's easier to be dismissive of other people's opinions than try to think about why they might exist.

As for the reason people play, it's usually because of rewards, especially when it comes to ranked. There's a huge punishment for inactivity for plat+, and if you can stop LP decay by playing once a month, why wouldn't most people?

Starting over from 0 is a toughie. People don't like being innately bad. Moving from a game you're decent at, to a game you're complete garbage at is also a determining factor. There are many reasons people don't quit. And one of the reasons they stay definitely isn't because the game is "good". It's just a game that they're extremely familiar with.

I only play to waste time, when at work or its raining, or I'm sick or injured. I haven't played for fun in several years.

LOL is only about 10% fun.

And now you have to play 100 games to get enough BE to buy a champ. I just do win of the day, usually in a bot game, to warm up and get that done, then play 2 ranked and that's about it.

I think they really tie the term fun with winning.

Some players just take losing way to fucking personally and I can understand that when you go on a losing streak. But it's the second they turn that frustration into some glorifying rant about how the game is dying and how they'll go be the world's best Fortnite player, I laugh.

Because you don't need to win to have just as much as you don't need to win to get an S rank in league.

I always say to my friends that if they wanna get an S, they need to make plays, and if you can make a play then you've already won and had fun. Because nothing else is gonna remove that sense of pride that comes from playing your best.

You even get a Hextech Chest!

This game is about 10% fun for me. I used to play a lot, right now around 2 hours a day , about to cut that back to maybe 3 days a week. Or might just quit. Right now it will take about 5 years to be able to buy the champs I want to play and by then they will all be obsolete and there will be new pick or ban champs every patch.

There is quite a lot of truth involved here. Some people just have the shitty mindset going in. I have a friend who does this. He sees the enemy jungler failing to have a successful gank, then calls for report and says gg. He is the jungler and his gank doesn't work out, he says "gg top, no more ganks" or "gg, I'm so far behind now, I'll farm till 15 then gank again".

This is a mindset that, apart from losing him a shitload of games, also makes the game feel bad playing.

One thing to keep in mind is that people that comment on the boards are naturally going to be people that have some complaint.

Think about it this way: The average player that is perfectly happy and enjoying playing league is most likely just going to be spending time playing the game over talking about it. They don't have enough incentive to go dig up the boards and talk about how happy they are.

People who are miserable, frustrated, burnt out, or furious, are much more likely to seek out the boards to complain.

Because league has such an incredibly massive number of players, even if only 0.01% of the playerbase is pulling up the forums to rant at any given time, it's going to be an overwhelming number of people.

I just wanna say. Fuckking riot. Fuckking game. If you dimond rank you can be play with silver or gold rank :) that’s fuckking crazy game. I played 15 games and lost 10 games. Reasons is played with fuckking differents skill how can you play with silver or gold rank if you on dimond rank. Just wanna say fuckking bad service and fuckking game.
