Can we give back the "Ninja" buff to all of the Ninjas please?
Why was it even removed????
Why was it even removed????
Nah, Riot is owned by Tencent and the Chinese don't allow fun unless it's sanctioned by the Government.
Way to be racist.
kinda true though, specially with them implementing by 2020 the mandatory good citizen score or what ever its called.
Sasami seed credits. Because relating it to food makes everything better.
I feel bad now because I read 'salami' and imagined cold cuts growing in a field or something XwX
I'm talking about the secondpart. " the Chinese don't allow fun unless it's sanctioned by the Government." The first part about Tencent owning Riot is true. But Tencent doesn't represent the Chinese as a whole. And China isn't North Korea.
To be fair, Tencent does coordinate with the Chinese government for the new Sesame Seed credit thing or whatever.
So they kinda do.
That's the standard joke made about all Communist controlled dictatorships. So, it isn't racist. It's a fill in the blank that started with the Soviet Union and is now China. Sheesh. North Korea, Vietnam, Cuba, East Germany, Poland, Hungary, any of the other SSRs would work just as well.
You wrote "the Chinese". If you added "government" it would be fine(although the sentence wouldn't make sense). Basically, you're talking about people who are Chinese and insulting Chinese people as a whole, instead of just putting down the government.
I never said anything about "The Chinese." I just said that it wasn't racist and that this is just a variation of the standard anti-Communist joke. Both of which are true.
Whoops, my bad, I meant the person who first wrote the joke, not you.
And China isn't North Korea.
Yet.
I dont think north korea have enough ammo to kill all the chinese people lol
That wasn't the joke.
That wasn't even a joke.
Oh sure this gets downvoted, but any slander against any other race isn't ok.
Because it isn't racism. Racism would be saying something like one race is inferior to another. This is just the standard anti-Communist bit.
Racism isn't saying one race is inferior to another. That's being a nazi. You can look up the definition. "and the Chinese don't allow fun unless it's sanctioned by the Government." Hm. He wrote "The Chinese". That means he is talking about Chinese people in general. This isn't anti-communism. This is talking down on Chinese people, including Chinese people living in anywhere other than China.
Yes, yes it is. If one is convinced of the superiority of one's own race over that of the others, you are a racist. If one race is superior, the others are inferior. Nazism is a very specific type of prejudice against Jews first, everyone else second and Nazis take comfort in the fact that blonde hair and blue eyes is the perfect "race." Oh, and this is from Merriam-Webster "Racism: the belief that some races of people are better than others." So he mentioned "the Chinese"....so what? I can make a joke about "the Soviets" and no one would bat an eye. We make some joke about how "the Germans" are secretly mad scientists, Nazis, or just evil and nobody cares. We make jokes about drunken Irish- and Scotsmen, and nobody cares. We make jokes about Scotsmen and Welshmen having sex with sheep and nobody cares. So why are all these examples perfectly fine, but the one above where the guy is referring to a people who, for the most part, willingly chose to allow a Communist dictator to rule over them? How do you know he wasn't trying to reference the amount of informers all sorts of Communist regimes create and how most of the people are afraid that any sort of fun will get them arrested?
Also, why do you presume (which means to arrogantly assume) that your comment would be down-voted unless you had already judged us readers as being open to racism?
Candidly, your arrogance and smug superiority is why I'm down-voting your comment here, too.
The comment insulting "the Chinese"(people who are chinese) is racist and arrogant. Candidly, that is why it should be downvoted
Again, you aren't establishing what is racist. The Chinese, clearly referenced a nation. Besides, that is not the definition of racism. For it is unacceptable to presume ill character upon another without establishing what makes saying the Chinese (oh, am I now a racist) into a racist comment.
Or must we all say "the People's Republic of China" or some such rubbish to appease your weak sensibilities?
Please, don't presume. The French, the British, the Kurds, and a host of other nations have been called by their nationality for generations. It's not racist.
No. The nation would be "China". The people are "The Chinese." It becomes racist when you use it in a insulting way. Just say "China". It isn't hard. Instead of "the Chinese".
Please, don't spout Bs. Saying "The French" refers to French people. Saying "France" is the nation. Given people in this community get mad when you say "salty" or "you're bad", this isn't too bad. People get offended by LGBT things, people get offended by the n-word. Same thing.
Ok, well, first of all, I am not a pansy liberal who bends to every whiner that I come across. Since you ignored my point about the historical nature of using these references and your insistence on trashing the character of an individual you have never met before, I'm gonna go on a limb and say your probably a Commy sympathizer.
You know, the same snoody attitude is had by the North Koreans, too. In that country, you have to always refer to the former heads of the states in a certain manner, bow a certain way, and respect the leaders in a certain tone. It's all very overpowering...the air is thick with discomfort there, too.

Fuk Tencent
Who's that? The new Yorick?
It's Ao Shin.
You're Ao Shin tho who is the blaspheming bastard depicted to smoke?
I'm not Ao Shin, I only reached Korean Bronze V by mastering him.
Definitely. http://oi64.tinypic.com/24vl30i.jpg
WOOOOOOOOSH
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c5fts7bj-so This music has started to play in my head. Smoking Graves robbing the banks of Tencent.
They said it was a "clarity" issue. It was cluttering up the buff bar on a champion.
No it wasn't. The hell are they smoking?
What was the buff (or nerf in this case, afaik) again btw? There was 1 HP less for each additional assassin in the game or something? So Akali and Shen was -1 HP each. And with Zed -2 HP each?
Next thing we hear now, is Nami no longer have +1 MS while in river, and Leona's W no longer dealing -1 damage against champs/skins with a pair of shades.
tencent, please :/
Can't remember if Zed was apart of it but if if there were 2 or 3 ninjas in the same game each of them would lose 1 hp
Shen, Akali, Kennen, Zed...and I do believe there was one more, but mana based (not Yi, he's a samurai, not a ninja). Or that mayhap have been pure speculation.

He's not a ninja so he doesn't count towards the buff despite being energy based

Yarrr I'm a mighty pirate

RIP Zilean VS Volibear buff
totally forgot bout this one, the internal fight between the rioters, its a situational one (like VI/Cait vs jinx), i dont know if they removed this one
"Chronokeeper Hater; Not even Zilean could keep an armored bear out of the League of Legends."
"Armored Bear Hater; In my day, we would never have allowed an armored bear into the League of Legends."
It's still in, when I played Zil and fought a Volibear I had the buff on my screen.
Reminder that upvoting without bumping is a crime
OK. I'll down-vote and bump. better?
ya sounds good to me
And let him be a pirate?

I'm a bounty hunter, not a pirate
yarr I'm a mighty pirate....hunter
