I think when riot decided to make games shorter on average, they made some terrible changes as a result. I'm perfectly fine with games lasting 40-60 minutes, and I quite enjoy long games when I get to play them. I get some players don't necessarily want longer games, but in an effort to keep the game balanced I really do believe this is the way to go.

Its so refreshing when a game lasts 40+ minutes because, more often than not, that means it was a somewhat balanced game. Something that is SO RARE today, whether it be a team comp imbalance, skill imbalance, troll imbalance, etc, etc, etc, the few gems of games you get where it can go either way and is decided by one crucial decision is awesome and reminds me why I love this game still.
