Shaco is annoying

What do you people think? I'm playing for long time but Shaco always was so rare pick, so I was ok playing vs him. But now he's becoming popular, and he's very annoying. His damage is insane. Is it just me, or it's a tendency?

Shaco is for people who are good at shaco or just generally good and want to watch the world burn. So yes he is supposed to be annoying.

riot nerfed every champ, of course shaco is good now. And after the nerf of shaco riot will nerf vlad. it's the cycle of riot noobiness.

Shaco was always good, people just didn't use him. Also, riot didn't nerf every other champ. Tons of tanks and even some assassins have gotten buffs recently.

No, the new jungle is what buffed Shaco. A champion who's about going into the enemy jungle and killing them till they get pissed off in the new jungle where everyone is at like 20% hp early on. Hell yea

Dont forget the income changes. This above all else has made him good. People expect early counterjungling - they dont expect a fed shaco one shotting their carries.

I never really found Shaco all that impressive. He's annoying to deal with but not overbearing. Probably because he's an early champion who hasn't benefited from a rework or an overhaul yet, but he's probably the least dangerous Assassin in the game.

I may be thinking that because he's supposed to be AD, but I keep getting AP bush-camper Shacos. XD

The days of shaco being useless late game are over. Jungle income changes make him so much better now (Especially after you finish hydra).

End game (40+ mins) im usually packing 520 AD with an Hydra, IE, TF, and LW. One shot carries. Split push like a baws. Get in, kill someone, flash out. Repeat.

The only time a shaco has any business going AP is if theyre support.. and that shaco better be damn good with boxes. lol

A good Shaco's job is to be annoying and get lots of early kills, demoralizing your team. From personal experience, you know you've done your job right if they surrender at 20.

If the team playing against Shaco doesn't surrender... Then things start to go down hill for him.

The other thing to keep in mind is his damage isn't that bad (unless he's going AP, in which case I'm sorry). Look at other assassins, and most of them spam their spells on you for maximum damage in a split second ( Katarina Akali Leblanc Zed Talon etc.) Shaco is much slower to use all his spells, but his initial burst coming out of stealth can be brutal (guaranteed crit + backstab).

You're right about all this champs. But you can predict their movements, because you see them. Shaco is terrorizing from invisibilty, probably that's why he's so annoying.

Little known secret. Armor prevents one shotting. Technically it isnt really one shotting its - Backstab, Hydra, Shiv.. But get some armor and youll be fine. =p

Zhonya's is a pretty good hard stop to the shaco combo insta-death. Even with 520 AD i've been stopped by an APC who zhonya's right after i hit them with deceive. Most shaco's will come in, backstab (from deceive) then pop hydra/shiv. if you are aware and zhonya's immediately after backstab you essentially hamstring the shaco. And since most shacos are idiots and get ignite rather than flash its an easy kill after that.

This is no longer true. A good shaco will still be able to one shot your carries end game, and if your team is too tanky he can split push about better than almost any champ in the game.

I actually find LeeSin far more annoying.

Shaco is designed to be annoying, but he's also one of the hardest champions to do well with. He needs to snowball to be effective, which means that he has to get kills. His jungle farming ability is fairly poor, especially in the harsher S5 jungle. He has a decent escape, but if he's extremely easy to punish if he commits badly to a fight. He's also very hard to do well with in teamfights.

He's annoying, but he has very clear strengths and weaknesses, reasons to pick him and reasons not to.

I clear jungle faster on shaco than i do on warwick. Position your boxes so the main monster's back is facing you. Stack 2 boxes on red, 2 on krug before you start. Deceive into jungle camps.
