Yep. I usually build it to shove the lane really hard, look to gank mid, and counterjungle the top side enemy jungle.

You can freeze lane with tiamat, atleast for a limited amount of time, before the AOE auto pushes the lane. Theres nothing wrong with zoning your enemy for as long as possible.

but its not really effective

its a push item, you would be better off shoving big waves into your opponents turret then go gank mid or something

that is debatable and depends on the game. If the enemy team has a fizz mid with both summoners and you have a cc less mid laner, ganking mid really doesn't make sense.

If the enemy is a champion that can easily farm under tower, it doesn't make sense either.

So it all depends on the game, just because you have tiamat doesn't mean you need to give up on freezing.

but tiamat prevents you from freezing at best its a slow push, but still a push. You get bigger waves this way which is fine if you want to roam

and even if you can't kill mid you can gank his ass to see if you can make him blow a summoner or you counterjungle

I play top often and many times i see myself rushing sunfire because defens/offense item it has the same issues in that it prevents freezing.

But i use this to push then take scuttlers & counterjungle & look for gank opportunities
