Can we get a redo on Victorious Maokai?

I know I'm not the only one who is massively disappointed in Maokai being picked. Isn't the point of the Victorious skin to be a champ that was relative in competitive the entire season? Maokai was a flavor for like a month at the end of spring split and beginning of Summer split.

Just off the top of my head here are some champs that deserve it way more than him:

Probably missed a few but thats just off the top of my head.

Having finally reached Gold this season I have to admit this is a huge let down. There were so many good options and you picked a super binary, boring as hell, out-of-meta champ. Sorry to sound salty but to be perfectly honest I really am. What a disappointment.

I agree, Maokai is a huge let down. I haven't seen even one in the entire season of ranked, not even in these periods you mentioned, and I have been in gold for a while now. I don't even see the guy in normals. I thought the point of these victorious skins were to get champions that influenced the ranked season. Maokai certainly didn't. Like, sure, it's fine to give the guy a skin, it's not like Maokai doesn't deserve any skin, just not the victorious one. This is seriously the third year in a row that I am dissapointed by the victorious skin, but I didn't complain about Sivir or Morgana because at least they made sense to be picked! Maokai just doesn't make sense. Going by the order (which since they already got 5 skins they could say screw the order), they'd need a top champ and that means Darius or Ekko seemed very obvious, which would have still sucked for me 'cause I hate Darius, but at least it would make sense! Now I'm going to get Maokai forced into my pool of champions. I'm never playing ARAM again.

Well, I personally feel Victorious Viktor would have been a much better choice due to him being an all around strong Competitive pick and just stands for a staple mid laner. He's exciting to watch, has a ton of outplay potential and really needed a new skin.

But either way, I'm fine with it being Maokai, seeing that I like playing tanks :9

I had all my hopes on a victorious karma skin, as she got picked quite frequently in the pro scene. I knew it wasn't very likely to happen since the last sup who received a victorious skin was morgana (although she could count as a midlaner), but I can't really understand why it's maokai, although I'm fine with him too, but other champs deserved this years victorious skin a lot more.

Don't forget: Shen has been a VERY popular pick because he meshes so well with so many comps, and his global presence gives him that edge. He would have also been an amazing Victorious skin.

WHO THE HELL wants to wear a victorios maokai skin... when he has a poping meowkai skin? you just can't be more fabulous or victorious than that. This is a waste of skin idk if rito was playing lottery or what but this is non-sense. I will never find the day i'll wear a golden bandanna over my kitty hoody.

What's the point of these complaints? It doesn't really matter who gets picked for a Victorious skin. His mains or people who like to play him will be OK with it while the rest would curse at Riot for "having" better choices or because it's not their favorite champion who is getting one.

Skin represents the whole season, right? So what is better than a shitty skin for a shitty champion for shitty season and DQ they've put us through. It fits perfectly!

We have 2 Supports, 1 Adc, 1 Jungler and 1 Top/Jung (not sure what Jarvan was back then). So it should have been Mid this season no ? Quite a lot players in this community expected Viktor this season ... Mhm, not mid okay. Top then, okay. Yasuo is the most played Top laner but also the most banned, okay. So Gnar .. popular, nearly never banned, seen pretty much at Worlds nowadays. Ayyyy perfect pick: GNAR. But noo, we have to get 10th most unpopular champ in the game. RIP -_-

Ekko and Viktor really deserved it this season. They are (or at least were) picked extremely often and are 2 of the champions that really influenced S6. But being a bronze pleb myself, I dont care that much. However, it does suck for the people who are gold and higher seeing that a champion that was fotm gets picked.

hey you know what. if you dont like one of the many hundreds of skins that riot has produced and will continue to produce, dont buy it. no matter who you like, maybe besides urgot and warwick, new skins will come for those champs. noone at riot is here to satisfy just you. stop acting like an entitled spoilt brat. you get a free skin and a free champ, if you dont like it, uninstall. nobody will miss you. nobodies going to "redo" a whole fucking skin just cos you made this whiney post

Why are people acting as if this is the last skin that is ever getting released? It's a free skin, a gift and the chances of it going to the champ you want were tiny. Just deal with it or stop being cheap and buy a skin for the champ you want instead.

I'm so happy it was maokai. Hes my most played in ranked and this is the first season I'm actually getting a Victorious skin. It seems like I'm alone on this one though lmao

I cant be the only one that thinks Irelia deserves this skin. She has no 1350 rp skins, and shes been around forever. She has also been huge this season, between rageblade and the new tf. Just my .02. Anyone agree?

Personally I think would have made wayyy more sense if they were going to do a top laner. (Hecarim maybe not so much, I just like him. Same deal for Rumble.) Other Champs that weren't topside that would makes sense would be- (Yasuo did see top play too) Honestly this is the first Victorious skin I don't like, Sivir was meh but she wasn't bad, had I actually placed last season I would have been fine with her. I guess it's just a bummer the year I placed again the Victorious skin is for a champion I find boring.

Well they need to fill up the team to make it functional. I feel like they already had the Victorious line up per-determend before hand.

Morgana Mid. Sivir Adc. Janna Sup. JarvanIV Jun/Top. Maokai Jun/Top. A dedicated tank/Ap tank, while J4 is a AD/Ad tank.

Yeah I personally like Maokai, but he's barely been relevant in the summer split. They usually pick champions that are meta for Summer Split/worlds so Maokai makes no sense. It's baffling.
