@People saying Ahri is overpowered
I'm not saying you're wrong or right. Personally I think she's A tier, so strong, but not strong enough to be an LCS staple, but that doesn't really pertain to the thread.
I get it, she's frustrating to play against, so I'm going to offer you tips, as an Ahri main, that I've found help me to deal with her when I play against one.
-
Start out by telling yourself that Ahri is not a particularly strong champion, she just has a massive safety net. Her strength is derived from the fact Ahri can always get fed but she can rarely feed. She is outdps'd by the standard midlaners and doesn't provide nearly the amount of game-changing utility as Lux/Orianna.
-
She has a hard time in teamfights unless she can get a good flank, due to the whole less useful in teamfights thing.
-
Ahri is unforgiving in skirmishes due to how her kit works. Don't pick fights where you can get caught in smaller numbers and avoid being out when you're low, especially if you don't know where she is.
-
Ahri's ultimate is what ties her kit together.
So how do you deal with this?
Generally:
Exchange value needs to be weighed. Ahri is, again, less useful in teamfights so if she trades herself for an equally fed ADC, she made the better trade. In skirmishes and early game dropping your ultimate to blow hers is usually a better trade as she cannot stop you from farming or roam on bot lane for a minute and a half.
In-lane:
-1 Ahri's shorter (relatively) ranges mean she's apt to being bullied by mages with easier access to their damage (Viktor can outrange her while clearing the backline, Syndra doesn't need to pay attention to minions to deal the same damage, etc). If she's playing back it's best not to overextend because junglers love camping an Ahri (see point 1). I personally prefer to keep the lane frozen near my tower and if Ahri gets close poke her and prevent her from getting close to the minions. Once they're on her side I keep away and try avoid the jungler's wrath.
-2 Your ult for Ahri's is almost always worth. If she can't skirmish she has less chances to get fed.
Skirmishing:
-1 Numbers advantage is key.
-2 Generally just try avoid this stage and group up.
Teamfighting:
-1 One should not try to intentionally kill Ahri unless she poses significant threat (only fed member, gets a good flank, etc). Otherwise, zoning her and letting her tickle your diver usually does the trick. She doesn't deal particularly high damage to divers even with true damage, and this gives the damage dealers the opportunity to push.
-2 If Ahri jumps you, CC and kill her. Force her to take the fight to you because that's where Ahri's risk comes into play. If she doesn't have a lead, even the support has the potential to be more useful of a piece (again, this is situational) because they can keep the Twitch alive and you know that's always a bad thing.
TL;DR Don't stay out places way longer than you should, and avoid skirmishes like the devil. Push way hard, let her force the fight, and outscale her. Once you get to teamfights even zoning her with a tanky champion (especially as an Irelia) puts her in a really awkward spot for your carries to safely obliterate her team. I get this isn't perfect but every bit helps.
