Why are we changing champions to make an item viable?

the shyana/nocturne/yi buff all seem to be intended to make them buy rageblade instead of going tank or ad.

If literally no champion in the game benefit or have good use of an item the item is clearly a failure, when the opposite, where everyone can abuse it, the item is utterly broken. old rageblade is broken, new rageblade is a failure. Now why are we changing numerous champions(and items if u consider bloodrazor, i believe one of the factors why it was buffed is because of its synergy with rageblade) just to make an item that is a design failure viable?

because those champions had been nerfed around how busted devourer was for years.

they could have just revert some of the nerfs, you know, instead of randomly throwing ap ratios which will not help them much unless they build full ap. it might seem like rageblade giving ap is good on these champs since they have gotten ap ratios, but in fact one hybird item does not give them enough ap to make that ratio significant, it is just a bait to make people use rageblade.

Your argument is invalid.

devourer, feral flare, there all the same ideology, farm camps = on hit damage boosts later. that is assumably what they are getting at.

FF in it's first version was broken but beyond that the item has been kinda meh.

Wrong.

Devourer was added in 5.13, which was on the 8th of July 2015. Making Sated 10+ months old.

The ap ratio won't hardly benefit nocturne anyways.

Like everyone has said, they were balanced around an item, now a new item has replaced it. Unfortunately, they are being buffed ap wise instead of the ad aspects.

The whole idea of taking a champions hit on effect skill and doubling it just does not seem right. I guess it allows people to go rageblade then rest items be tanky items and still do decent dmg?
