What Are Your Thoughts On Warlord's Bloodlust?

It seems to be the new go-to mastery of choice for most ADCs and a handful of melee champs such as Aatrox, Yasuo, Tryndamere, etc.

My personal thoughts are that the minion heal needs to be removed entirely. DFT and Fervor do not proc / stack on minion hits, so it seems strange that only 1/3 masteries in that tree should work on minions. It also offers too much safety in laning. Champions like Yas and Trynd already beat most champions in matchups due to their kits, their resourcelessness and how well they scale into late game; Bloodlust just lets them heal any poke / harass they receive by champions that have a mana pool in the early game, meaning it is virtually impossible to farm against them or get any significant damage off in lane without a gank.

Not sure what I would do with it in the end, though. Should it offer Spellvamp for AP champions? Should it just be removed entirely since there is already one AP (DFT) and one AD (FoB) mastery in the same tree? The reworks and nerf in this latest patch makes me think that Riot is not seeing exactly what they envisioned with it.

Thoughts?

Imo it's way easier to balance now than before. And it's not that useful early game because of low ad values.

Always used that when playing Tristana because in this meta, enemies tend to be so agressive that thurnderlord's doesn't seen fine and fervor of battle isn't useful if they'll kill you before you can stack half of that mastery.

A couple thoughts. First off, once 6.7 hits live, I doubt ADCs will be taking bloodlust, as the healing was cut in half for ranged champs. Two, there is still an inherent risk reward to melee champs sustaining on creeps. While yes, they can get back to full health, they are then pushing their wave out. This could cause them to overextend and become susceptible to ganks. Most champs that would take bloodlust are top laners (although there is Yasuo but in general it still applies). Think of champs like Tryndamere, Aatrox and Olaf. All generally considered to be life steal champs. While yes, they can sustain for days, they are all kitable (except Olaf with his ultimate) and susceptible to burst damage. They are all champs that want to run at the carries in team fights, pop them and run away with their ultimate as a safety cushion. If you can burst them down at the start of a fight and force the ultimate to be popped early, they will no longer want to go as aggressive as they don't have the same level of safety and, because they are running bloodlust, it becomes difficult for them to team fight as they would have to be in harms way to heal at that point. The additional healing on minions grants them simply a chance to back off and reset in time for any ensuing action. Basically the point im trying to make is that warlords in general brings less to team fights on those champions than fervor. As such, I think the reward of strong sustain is worth the risk
