Why does Lux's E cost 130 mana?

It can't even one shot the caster minions until she's at 3-4 items. It also costs more than a lot of ults.

Definitely could use a cost reduction, IMO. She got the short end of the stick with the mana regen nerfs, especially with Athene's being trash now.

Mana Font being smacked down into oblivion is the problem...it deserved to get some more mana regeneration not on the passive but on the item itself, at least.

Or, does Chalice even have base mana regen %? Mana Font by itself is now very awkward as a mana regeneration mechanism.

Chalice has 50% extra base mana regen as a bonus, but so does Athene's, which really makes Athene's suck ass compared to Morello right now.

Sadly, Riot gives no f#cks about this, so... T_T

Because that spell has a really low margin of error for landing it.

It doesn't need to cost 130 mana, just like how Death Ray doesn't need to cost 130 mana, but the philosophy was that it shouldn't be too easy to push the opponent out of lane.

Which is interesting considering that mana regen is weaker now AND that Lux's E already has low-in-comparison damage on her E. Maybe she is under-compensated by the ease of damage? I think her E can get a small base damage buff (10-15) or small mana cost reduction (5-10), but it isn't an urgent change.

The problem with saying "it isn't an urgent change" is that if it isn't dealt with promptly, it might be completely forgotten and Lux would be left crying in a corner. T_T

As for Viktor, the Hex Core gives him 500 extra maximum mana when fully upgraded, so he wouldn't have the same problem Lux would.

cause it's unavoidable longrange poke unless you have a dash. Her Q and W have pretty low manacosts at rank 1, and W stays at low costs even if maxed.

For comparison, it costs the same as Morgana's W when the two are of equal rank.
