played the champion in a solo lane for the first time in ages, and hes dope as fuck.

i think the ap item changes a while back helped him out really well, since there are a bunch of ap health items now.

Yes the AP item changes helped. The dependency on Rylais/ Liandry's is kinda annoying.

he offers nothing when behind.

Still Feast or Famine ( I would argue that a fed Morde has less agency over the game than A lot of other Champions)

Entire subclasses of champions counter him in lane: Artillery mages, Area Control Mages, Marksmen ( 46-47 winrate for 2 years then they get nerfed he's up to 50% the same patch. Hmmmmmm)

And has Nothing worthwhile bringing to ANY team comp that another Champion doesn't DO better.

Not only that it's actually super easy for the enemy team to Counter build vs Your Damage ( Adaptive helm) and CounterBuild your in combat Sustain. Meanwhile you can't Counter build thier Burst. Steraks is a Joke if you do Build it and Build into that Garbage Fucking Shield you will still get Burst through the shield.

He is VERY fun to play until you get to know him in depth. When his old rework was new I'm sure it was great, but now he's just old and can't compete with newer champs with well thought out kits. His kit feels rather rushed.

He has Enjoyment issues is all.

I think he needs a fix more than anything. He has more bugs than Yandere simulator.

lol, yea. riot really needs to step up their game when it comes to bug fixes. garen still cancels his most recent movement command, when his spin ends or is cancelled. i dont understand how shit like this can be around for more than one patch cycle.

otherwise imo morde would be fine with a VU to fit his look more with the other shadow isles champions.

Yeah I do hope they keep his armor design for the most part. Kinda like them spikes. And I have no clue. I mean they have a debug team that's separate from their normal coding team for champs and shit right? Like I get that some bugs can be really hard to fix or figure out but for this long? Hell I think there are posts dating two years back. At longest it should take 6 months. and that's being generous.

He needs a rework cause he's rather clunky, overbearing when ahead, hopelessly weak when behind, and rather slow.

As a Morde main, yes he does need a rework. Currently, his kit is very stat checky and leaves little room for you to outplay your enemies if they actually know what Mordekaiser does. Just watch any Morde montage on youtube, and you'll see that they are very unimpressive. He needs to be reworked to have more skill expression, and to be more useful to his team without relying on an ally to be near all the time as well.

I've mainly played Morde since I first started in season 2 and I really didn't like his juggernaut rework(and still don't mainly because of his W forcing him to be near an ally or minion). His rework did bring some interesting concepts that I think should stay in some form, like the Dragon ghost, it's very unique and gives Mordekaiser an interesting niche. But even if they do keep the Dragon ghost, I think Morde should be made back into a solo laner(Mid, Top or even Jungle), since he always was before his rework. I really don't like the idea of botlane Morde, I don't really think it fits him thematically and hope they scrap it when they do finally get around to reworking him.
