It would be a must buy for every AP vs AP lane. That is why I believe they haven't added that item. Same thing with AD Zhonyas.

Zhonyas is a must buy for every AP vs AD? The amount of brainpower involved in deciding which items are involved in the game must be crazy. Hours and hours they spend thinkin about it.. .

In my opinion after the Hexdrinker nerfs, Zhonyas is actually stronger. I don't believe there is a way to prove either of us right though. Before the Hexdrink nerfs I would agree with you 100 % that it was too strong. Now I think its just fine.

zhonyas is a must buy now, its straight up op if you get caught out and have a team that knows how to play no to mention the tower dives with it

The item would have to be some kind of damage reduction instead of a shield.

Maw is designed to pop up a shield on you and save you while your ap opponent blows all or most of their cool downs on you, so you can run or take them out.

A shield would be fine for assassins since they have cool downs.

ADCs, who I am assuming you want the item for, can do almost 1k damage on Crits that happen quite often depending on a build. So a shield wouldnt be as useful as flat damage reduction.

Just my two cents. I like your idea but I think ap casters need a slightly different style of defense.

Hourglass is useless unless your fighting zed. Meanwhile adcs can build maw. They are just going to kill you when hourglass ends while they get a sheild and lifesteal.

OH YA CAUSE BEING UNARGETABLE IS USELESS clearly you haven't played fizz, tower dive zhonyas if e is on cooldown e out. Zhonyas is worth it, the 75 amour is almost as much as thronmail and gives you a untargetable
