Why did people hate on Lee Sin so much?

While they don't hate Thresh in the same way?

He is to the support role what Lee Sin was for the jungle role: he is literally in every single game, i'm not even joking, 37% pickrate is retarded, it's basically permapick considering there are more than 15 support.

Yet people hated Lee Sin because he was OP (they said), yet whenever Thresh is brought up some random idiot tells me he "is not the best support", is that the same idiot who hated on Lee Sin for being "the best jungler that ruined diversity"?

Thresh ruins diversity since his goddamn release: gut his poke damage on E, cut the AP ratios in an half and then we may start to see some diversity again instead of the old "Thresh & friends".

The same reason you make multiple threads bitching about Thresh - people got out played and their tears filled up a jar, so all the fucks people gave to the jar were washed away so now there are no fucks given. This is the bitch cycle - for you Thresh is your target, even though Janna is still picked more than him... because reasons.

Yea this..

Thresh is strong... and fun.. But not OP..

I have won and lost... with and against Thresh.

And .. If I really feel like I need a win, Im still picking Janna NOT Thresh.

Lastly, when was Lee Sin in every game? Not at the LCS level.. for sure. And I very rarely see him. (And when I DO.. it's not like: Oh no. Lee Sin. We lose.)

Like Season 4/3. I remember when Hecarim Jungle dominated every game. After that Lee Sin was the king of the jungle.

The jungle changes severely nerfed Lee Sin's clear speed and general strength. Cinderhulk became OP and Lee Sin jumped on that meta because he's a decent tank.

Oh dear... a silver player told a diamond to stop crying about a champ... but the silver needs to L2P? Something not right here...

I feel as thou he recently lost badly to a Thresh and is now filled with salt. I give him props for trying to hide the fact the thread was talking about Thresh putting Lee Sin in the title.

People do hate Thresh in the same way, but he's a support, not a jungler, therefore, his presence is generally limited to one lane, which leads to way less bile being spewed in his way.

I mean, I think both are cancers who strangle diversity in the game by being just too damn good at too many damn things.

Broken early game Underpowered late game Forgiving champ with such high mobility and Ult. Fucked up a fight?dont worry just kick your target away. Cool down? Don't worry drop a ward and point and click on it. Also his R has the highest base damage plus scaling from all the abilities in the game, though it's point and click. Brainless champ overall

If he was a brainless champion bronze players would be able to use him. Look up lee's popularity and winrate in each elo then comeback and lmk what you think. He requires alot of game knowledge and granted he is very strong early game he falls off hard if he can't get going.

Thresh has received a lot of substantial nerfs since his release. His Flay passive used to be on his Q - you could just max Q then W and forget about E because you just needed it for the displacement. His W used to shield everyone that touched it within a few seconds. It also had a stronger base shield to a point where it could shield for almost triple what it does now - to every single team mate - late game. His ultimate used to deal damage. Each wall dealt damage now it's just ehh.

He's been severely nerfed.

The fact that he can pull anyone out of danger with his lantern, as well as give allies a free Vi-like engage with it is why he's strong. His CC is weaker to Nautilus' or Leonas'. His hooks are easier to dodge that Blitzcrank's hook. If his lantern was removed then people would move to support champs like Leona, Braum and Nautilus who are actually tankier than Thresh with Thresh breaking even at late game.

Past nerfs to his shield base/ratio and damaging ultimate needs to be reverted with a strong nerf on his W range, because it's just so stupid. Even if Thresh gives no shield, does no damage on Q or E or ultimate, he's still going to be picked.

On a different note. I feel like CertainlyT thinks that counterpick = counterplay when it isn't. He releases Yasuo, OP as fuck, no one could match his mobility. He then releases Kalista, matching Yasuo's mobility amongst other things.

Lee Sin has a ton of counter play he falls off hard late game as well. The people who complained about Lee in the past are those that took no effort to cater their own game play to provide the best chance of winning vs his early game pressure which is don't feed lee its not that difficult.
