Literally the only thing. Every other aspect has been gutted.

Why does she have a 38 percentage win rate then

Because she was undertuned as crap and her playerbase is taking time to adjust to the changes.

She dealt way less damage than necessary for even those strengths to compensate and she lost some other strengths. She still has a kit that is capable of doing certain things better.

Didn't they put her on the pbe

That doesn't really mean anything. The playerbase on the pbe is small and they don't play enough games to get a proper MMR set up for them, plus they generally just go on the pbe to try out the new changes one or two times or just go into games to try skins out without really caring about the game afterwards.

Her W has air time and can only be dropped at range. It's not useful. Anything mobile can either use their mobility before the poison lands, or they're already past it before it lands, or they're too far and go around it (or just mobility over it) after it lands.

Consistent DPS doesn't work when champions like Annie can 100 to 0 you from the same range. You need time to get consistent DPS off, and with Twin Fangs' cooldown increased, she needs significantly more time that she doesn't have.

That's why I used the phrase "get the drop on". If Cassiopeia surprises an assassin from a bush they will not be able to react in time and will have a much worse time than they would have before Cass's changes. It also outranges LeBlanc's dash, Talon's blink, Yasuo's dash, and Kassadin's blink so at least a few champions should see a harder time closing in on Cass than they used to.

The base damage was increased to compensate for the longer cooldown, just not by enough. That's what I meant by "undertuned as crap"

get the drop on mobile champs provide consistent dps farm

  • She can't drop W on mobile champs unless she lands it perfectly on them, since it's a fixed range, and only if she can predict when they will use their abilities, otherwise its a 22 sec cooldown

  • Both the previous iterations of Cass had more consistent DPS damage (Twin Fang 0.5 sec cooldown reset on poisoned targets provides more consistent sustained damage)

  • Farming is about the same.

"Get the drop on" implies that she has found a way to get it on them, i.e. hiding in a bush.

  • Both the previous iterations of Cass had more consistent DPS damage (Twin Fang 0.5 sec cooldown reset on poisoned targets provides more consistent sustained damage)

0.5 seconds, 0.9 seconds, 0.75 seconds, those all qualify as sustained damage spells and all would be considered just as consistent. The consistency comes from reducing the harsh punishment of an E misclick which used to put you in time out for 5 agonizing seconds when your team really needs you to be contributing to the fight.

  • Farming is about the same.

A low cooldown E with a mana refund is incredibly versatile for controlling the wave. If the wave is forced under turret you can very easily score every cs, you have a faster and higher damage version of your auto attack to make cs'ing easy, and you can still push really fast with poisons. Then the new Tear and Catalyst makes this pattern provide a ton of sustain to make it very difficult to push Cass out of lane.

She's better at being on the losing team than she was before.

NEW BOOTS FOR SNAKES - give cass's tail a boot

all the re work did was the change the names of the problems she had before. her passive is still a problem now cause anyone can buy boots and out scale you in move speed early so landing a Q is just that much harder. her ult is still buggy as fuck and should just be made into either a stun or a cone shaped nasus slow. no more of this facing me or not facing me buggy crap. and Her new W is just as bad as her old on except this time instead of just doing no dmg and taking forever to be a real zoning tool it now has a fixed range and its new CC is over rated when jinx's traps effectily do the same thing and hold them there all while being casted anywhere. atleast riot got one thing right. she temps you into playing her and thinking she's vicious but in the end shes just an ugly useless monester you wish would just go away.
