Why punish me for doing well? (Ranked)

If I have a 63% winrate, why the flying fuck would you set me up with those barely hanging on to 40%, expecting me to god-carry them, and still take a bite out of my LP for it if I lose? Yet even if I win such games, I only get a slightly above-average gain (atm). You wouldn't even have to adjust your matchmaking system, but it's fucking laughable how you pair me with low golds against plats and diamonds and don't fairly grant/penalize LP based on their solo rank.

I'm going to drop something that's slightly controversial. You're not just being matched with 40% winrates players.. everyone is.

If you want to climb, you have to learn to deal with 40% winrate players, and win anyway. Or, you can look up op.gg's and dodge if you encounter them.

Edit: I see that you're playing Flex. The matchmaking in Flex is fucky and I recommend you play solo/duoqueue instead.

Edit2: I see that you're not only playing Flex, but you're playing Flex 3v3's. Dude, the population of players in this mode is too low to generate even games.

Why should I learn to deal with someone who cares so little about rank so I can artificially boost them to a 50% win rate when they don't deserve it nor do I get any bonus for doing so?

Because you want to climb? I'm sorry, but the reality is that you either learn to deal with bad players or keep complaining endlessly on how your bad teammates are holding you back. EVERYONE is playing with the same awful teammates you get in your games, some players are climbing, some are hardstuck, and some are entering your games on a 40% winrate. I'm not saying it's fun to basically have griefers on your team, but I'm 100% telling you the best option is to accept the reality of League of Legends and start thinking about how you can make the best of it.

Matchmaking should instead make it so that both your team and their team consists of players in your rank with ~63% winrate, and similarly, players with 40% winrate should be playing with and matched with 40% winrate players. Eventually you'd plateau but at least you'd plateau based on your skill level and not based on luck.

Matchmaking doesn't c are about winrate. It cares about MMR. If a person with a 40% winrate has a similar MMR to you, then they can get matched with you. Simple as that.

Flex is not balanced, because there is small group of people playing it, even more unbalanced in 3v3. This game is 1v9, or 1v5 if you play 3v3, you are the 1 who should hard core carry game, whenever i lose i know it 90% of those loses because i didn't carried hard enough. And no matchmaking doesn't force 50% win rate, since nobody would ever reach challenger with 70-80% win rate, the only thing that force close to 50% win rate is number of games played: If you won 8 out of 10 games you will have 80% win rate If you won 54 out of 100 games you will have 54% win rate If you won 510 out of 1000 games you will have 51% win rate In all these cases its about 6-20 more wins than loses but win rate is much lower and closer to 50% win because of the number of games played. You will only have big win rate with high number of games, if you improve your gameplay and climb 1-2-3 tiers (ex from bronze to gold, or from gold to dia) only there you can have around 60% win rate with high number of games because you climbed much more. That's why is easy to spot the players who smurf (he will have insane win rates even with 50-100 games). If you don't believe me, make smurf account and try for yourself.

to force a 50% winrate so that you can claim that matchmaking is inherently balanced, when it clearly is not.

This is the punishment for smurfing, carry the games or don't, up to you.

but you only played 16 games that winrate might be inflated but yea i don't like the system either

You are with the the 40% WR opponents because they have (roughly) the same MMR as you. The algorithm should probably be adjusted to have them drop a bit faster though. You might also be matched with them because you have your own gameplay issues to work out.

The system 'forces' a 50% WR because it gets you to equally skilled players. If you are against equally skilled players it is hard to imagine you winning more than half the time.

Remember that dodging only loses you LP, not MMR. Just pop open that OP.GG, refresh your teams, and see if you need to dodge.

That has happened to me. At one point I was at about 78% winrate with sion and after getting some "amazing" teamates it fell to 52% while I am an exceptionaly well Sion.

Because ur 63 wr is from when u had good teammates and now ur goingg back to the hardstuck you belong jn

Welcome to the league of low elo! Anyways, either improve your mechanics and game knowledge and carry your way out, or you stay there forever. It's all the games and experience. watch higher elo players play style and try to use it in your games. Also, I personally think that jungle/bot would be more of a significant role in games that are easier to hard carry your team. All my friends got out of silver/gold by hard carrying their games.
