Why such inconsistency?
I have played this game for a long time.. hell since season 1. I have gotten used to how ranked and the ladder works. I know things are really chaotic at the start of a season with rank resets. Am I pissed I drop 8 tiers in rank for no real apparent reason? Yea. But that is part of ranked so I am living with it. But after taking a couple month break I just I guess forgot how inconsistent games are. And I am not even close to high elo. Literally ranked in top like 40 w/e % of accounts right now in silver 3... so there is no reason for there to be such inconsistencies.
What inconsistencies? Well... I just don't understand how I can go from having new players on my team a couple games in a row... like literally brand new just freshly ranked players to then playing with all Ex: mid gold players the next. Yes... in your old school boring and annoying MMR system we all have similar mmr. But reality (which is very easy to see just using normal & prior season stats and common sense) would show these two games are completely different. Yes... I titled after we lost a super easy game that I was actually playing well in. So I basically "trolled" by playing
. Was I going afk or being a dick to my teammates? No.... just playing a champ I enjoy but am bad at playing because I figured "if no one else cares about winning might as well have fun". It was dumb although I had a couple fun games. But I just hate how inconsistent games are. Which is why it was easy for me to take a break from this game at the start of the season to begin with. Like... the first 2
games resulted in a 1-1 W/L. I had fun.... I am not the worst
to play in silver ... hell I probably have average silver Lee sin skills. So then I decide to go for the 3rd and final
game. The first two like... I literally didn't even know what elo I was in. It was blood bath games (especially 2nd) with the enemy literally never even trying to dodge my Q. I got so used to that in those games for a second I thought maybe time off playing actually somehow made me better at
. Then I jump into 3rd game with all Ex: gold players, which yea.... no one is super great. But they were smart enough to actually try and dodge my Q... which of course I missed most of the time because I am a low elo
. So yea... basically lost a game we could have won If I played a champ I am ok with. Which yea it's my fault its just annoying how different the games can be with no change in mmr.
And let's not forget for a second how lame it is that I have to climb 8 divisions to get back to prior season rank. I get it.... season restarts people drop... yatta yatta yatta. But then you have this lame crap where "well if you play now you drop at least a tier hell probably 2 if you were plat last season". But then if someone decides to take there break right away from the game instead of after playing beginning of season placements. Hell they may even take half a year off playing come back super rusty and still drop what... 1-2 DIVISIONS with a less than 50% placement win rate from their prior season rank. WOW that is a great system.
I am just tired man. I just wish I could play this game casually and still be somewhat close to my rank but because your system is "play everyday or casually for 6 months" to reach your prior rank I have to look forward to 100+ lame as hell games just to "have the chance" to be close to a rank I once was. I have ranked up to silver 3 or 2 or w/e many times... I could careless about it. Its not exciting... I don't feel rewarded for winning. Maybe its time to just adopt shorter seasons for solo queue? I guess that doesn't work for LCS. And funniest part is top of the ladder doesn't really change anyways. Meh... why the hell do any of us still play this game?
Sorry. Been back for like a couple days and this game already broke me haha. The tilt is real in LoL.
