Just stop playing!

This may actually be one of the dumbest, laziest, most useless pieces of "advice" anyone can possibly give. It casually ignores the fact that there are players who are attached to League, whether because they've invested time, money, relationships or all three into it and want to see if it'll improve in the near future. It makes it easier for Riot to get away with shitty things that are designed to take advantage of the player base's habits and lack of attention, because they're too busy telling other people to "take a break" to even notice. Yeah, there are people who obviously need breaks, but they can damn well decide for themselves if that's the case.

Stop it. You don't make the game's issues go away by "taking breaks." You make them go away by telling Riot what the game's problems are.

Likewise, if you are not enjoying the game, just stop playing.

If nothing has changed, then that's a very good indicator that your opinions were not shared by any the League player base at large.

You (not you specifically OP) do not have to always like the same game. Your tastes and wants will develop over time, and it could very well be that what you want is not what the majority does. And that's perfectly fine.

What that doesn't mean is that Riot has to cave to your desires to make it how you want it.

They will make the game towards what gives the most amount of players the most enjoyment.

Being attached to your abusive boyfriend/girlfriend doesn't make leaving them any less of the correct answer.

The only difference is that you could come to league with a different mindset if you wished to, whereas you likely shouldn't get back with that person.

actually taking a break from the game is generally the right call. allows one to get perspective.

Or just quitting the game? Because Riot won't two fucks and shits about some guy on the deserted internet forum

I don't particularly hate playing league, but I don't love it either. I would love to quit league, problem is there aren't any other long-lasting games that appeal to me more than it.

I just got Borderlands 3, beat the campaign and every side quest within like 4 days, farmed legendaries, did some end game stuff and now I feel like I'm just bored of it. Just not a satisfying enough endgame for me personally past the initial fleeting joy of blowing max difficulty bosses and elite enemies apart in milliseconds. The endgame grind isn't satisfying enough for me to enjoy pursuing better clear times.

Was really hoping it'd be a game I could take a long break from league on, but this one ain't it chief.

Now if Diablo 4 came out, I'd prolly be out of here much longer than 4 days. Sadly all we get is a mobile game. You all have phones don't you? :/

Riot doesn't listen. The best thing we could do is to stop playing (and thus stop buying RP) but even then Riot doesn't care about us, most likely it's all about the Chinese playerbase.

I can tell you as someone who has given up on WoW, having complains about the game doesn't mean you want to quit the game but instead make it better. After a while though when your complaints are not heard thats when you quit and by then you no longer care about the game. The moment people stop complaining about the game is the moment the game starts to die.
