Malphite is my second most played champion and the new changes are nice but malphite is still unplayable. Conquer still exists and makes it impossible for him to go top lane. His jungle clear is decent but he has a hard time contesting scuttle and dragon. He has no good mobility other then his ult so if he has to play against a ranged top laner or someone like riven or Renekton with good mobility it becomes incredibly difficult. The only thing you can do with him is go mid or support and play ap but that is not the malphite I fell in love with. I love tank malphite but it feels like riot wants to kill off tanks for good.

full ap supp malph is huge, thats the only place besides jung i play him anymore.

I know it’s good but it’s not the malphite I enjoyed playing. Malphite is supposed to be a tank and I loved playing him as a tank but it feels like riot wants to kill that off.

I mean their rework on him is trying to bring back the tanky Malphite. I do think he needs a stun mechanic similar to Alistar E on his W or a mini-stun on his E. I also think his Passive CD should scale down 1.5 secs per ult lvl.(10/8.5/7/5.5 at lvls 1/6/11/16)

I go full tank as Malphite, but try playing with comet as your key rune with tank runes as your secondary. Makes your early game poke a total pain in the ass until you get the defenses needed to rock your enemies. Make sure you get manaflow too though.

Beaten Teemos out of lane this way. No idea what you do, but I feel great whenever I go Malphite.

I go sorc as my secondary with mana flow and scorch. I get more defensive runes that way while still having good poke
