Why is the community so entitled

Soul Dealer··8 votes·1,507 views

Every day all I see is multiple posts about how the balance team sucks or how “x champion is op plz nerf”. Why does this community act like it should get whatever is wants whenever it wants. It’s riots game and they have a direction the want to take it so let them. I think they have dona a pretty good job balanceing the game except for a few champions but what game is completely balanced. Also what makes us more qualified to tell riot how to balance the their own balance team.

Since when is wanting the game to be better the same as being entitled?

Wanting the game to be better is not the same thing as crying and screaming because you don't understand the direction that Riot is headed.

Yes, it is important to express concerns about the current state of the game, but people are becoming very belligerent about it.

the direction that Riot is headed.

Do you think riot know where the game is headed?

Since you guys literally complain about everything they do. You don’t want them to balance around worlds so the release a patch aimed at soloq and you guys still bitch about it. That’s acting entitled

I started playing the game in season 7 , and since I started playing , from a new player opinion , Balance doesn't interest me , me and most of new players don't even think of balance , they simply know there are champions that are stronger than other champions , of that's how they think The example is why the community is full of Yasuo mains , because they simply didn't care about balance , they simply saw him cool and strong so they picked him as a main

and ever since I started playing the game , I haven't changed my opinion , the main problem of League of Legends isn't the balance , it's players themselves

Players are toxic , many trollers , no matter how broken a champion is , with team work we can do it , but then a player and runs it down mid

Yes , the community is SO ENTITLED , for every change they would just make thread " why did you buff x " " why did you nerf x " Not to forget the amount of bias that exists here in boards for some champions and against some champions

The community is Entitled to a way that you would be surprised , and Riot actually listens to them IN AN EVEN MORE SURPRISING WAY

here's an example that made me laugh for days

players were mad about the new Forstblade Irelia splash art , about that Riot removed the " frostbutt " meme thing , they made many threads about this ****Few days later **** Riot actually edited Frost blade Irelia splash art and showed her butt in the splash art !! I was surprised , not only that , but they did some changes to even show her butt in the in-game character , I was surprised

to be honest , Riot is a great company , they do good and of course they do mistakes , but that doesn't make us entitled to everything they make .

...but what game is completely balanced.

Rock, Paper, Scissors. Just wanted to answer that question. :D

People do need to be more civil, it's healthy to disagree sometimes or state things about something you have experience with. However, the way a lot of people do it makes it easy for Riot to ignore them.

listening to your customers is good business

Balance is fine. Anytime you read those posts it's a "my champ should be OP which is balanced/you're champ should be balanced which is nerfed."

It's not an entitlement issue, it's a self-awareness issue. Like, they can't grasp the simplest concepts beyond their borders.

See this like guy. It hasn't occured to him that on the otherside of balance issues are OTHER customers.

You are right this is riots game and no amount of bitching will accomplish anything so I ask you...why do you care what people do on this forum?

Glaricion1 votes

I mean, we do give Riot money, they made a forum for us to discuss the game with a section where they request detailed analyses and thought out opinions on their work, they regularly browse Reddit for opinions, it's a multiplayer F2P game so customers are also game content in-and-of themselves...

Is it really 'entitlement' when Riot asks for both our opinions and money?

You might as well go to 'Client Discussion' and 'Report A Bug' and tell them that the game's a F2P from a smol Indie company, thus they're being entitled when they make requests for features and fixes.

imagine the nerve of the player base, they want the game to be good. i did drop a couple of grand on the game and i'd appreciate riot not spitting in the face of their customers but hey that only makes me entitled.

"bu-but spending money doesn't entitle yo .."

yeah no shit that's why i would like them to not be shitheads rather than making demands.

The community is not entitled these boards are. The two are not one and the same.
