I would be fine with it if the rest of the characters on that list got nerfed into oblivion. A man can dream...

Why are you trying to make Ahri cry. She just got a rework as well.

Leblanc Not 100% certain but as a Leblanc player, I do believe that Leblanc in fact has more mobility than Kassadin. With max or near Max CDR her jump is like 7ish seconds cooldown including the delay while the skill is still active. Also since she can jump again with her ult i would definitely say Leblanc is far more mobile than Kassadin. Oh on top of that Leblanc can flash back to her original location for 4 seconds after jumping with her W and R so with all of that taken into account Its safe to say Leblanc blows the so called "Mobility Mage Kassasin" out of the water in his own field.

Kassadin can do 1 jump every 6ish seconds with huge costs and decent damage (These numbers are guesstimations, I dont remember exactly)

Leblanc can do 1 jump every 7-8ish seconds with average costs and high damage depending on build and can jump back to original location for 3 seconds. Leblanc can also jump with her ult every 15-20ish seconds and jump back to original location for 3 seconds with no cost and huge damage.

Do all the nerd math and possibilities with 2 jumps and 2 return points and a flash and the amount of possible terrain wall jumps and its easy to see that Leblanc's mobility is far above Kassadin.

Kalista And don't even get me started on Kalista, technically speaking if your fingers are fast enough she is allowed to potentially perform 2.5 dashes per second (Depending on how stupid your build is, or just enough AS buffs from allies).

That's 5 jumps in 2 seconds and it keeps going from there. Not that it ill ever happen with the animations and finger speed but in general she was added to the game with Riot full well knowing that this is the mobility potential they set for her.

Ahri I think Ahri is fine to be honest, there is nothing wrong with her mobility. Its all locked into her ultimate and only grants 3 dashes. Its not like she can use 1 of the 3 to escape a gank and save the other 2 for later to get a kill. She either all in's or all out's. In a teamfight she can do a bit of both but again, its 3 dashes as an ult. Good but not outstanding.

Fizz If anything Fizz is a bigger mobility problem than Ahri is, by far. His 2 mobility skills are not ultimates, they have low cooldowns and deal good damage. And one of them lets him ignore any skill pretty much meaning he doesn't need to use skill to solve the situation, he just avoids it all together and either gets away or gets the kill.

Mostly agree. However, Ahri does have non-ult mobility (her Q speedboost) and Fizz does use skill to solve situations (try dodging Veigar's cage and get back to me).

IcyPepper4 votes

The Q speedboost is hardly noticable, to be honest. It looks cool and might help dodge a single skillshot, but the speedboost from summoner 7 is more noteworthy. She is nowhere near the likes of Kalista or Nidalee

lol nope. The speed boost on Q is the only reason she was considered OP after DFG removal. it allows to poke and avoid enemy's poke at the same time and makes her ungankeable if she has vision.

IcyPepper4 votes

Any smart player is ungankeable with vision. That's the point of buying wards, among many.

Right now, her kiting potential is great but not perfect. The speedboost, while nice, isn't all that amazing... from what I've seen, several Ahri players preferred the damage boost her charm gave than the speed.

Damn right we did. Give us our assassin back Rito.

Fairly sure Nidalee right now has the most unrivaled mobility. Free, on a very short CD. EVEN LEE spends something (energy).

Jungle Lux God19 votes

Kalista How about free with no CD?

Kitten of Evil3 votes

Requires her to either be in-range of enemies to AA, or to use mana on her Q for a single dash. Yes, I'd be happy to see her mobility dialed back a bit, but she's got nothing on Nidalee.

Jamnon4 votes

In how many team fights is an enemy, monster, or minion not in range? Quite few.

If none of these are in range, is there anything she needs to avoid? No.

Kitten of Evil3 votes

Eh, a Xerath, Ez, Ashe, Jinx, or Lux ult?

Don't get me wrong, her free mobility needs dialed back too, but if she's out of range, she can't easily hurt you either. Nid can pounce, instantly turn back human, heal, fling a spear, and dive back in. Nid's is free and unconditional in every sense of the word. Kalista's is free but conditional (at least in theory).

Jamnon1 votes

How many champions have global abilities which harm enemies? How much are they used? How often are ults up? How often will a player not take summoner 4 ?

Arguably less than cases where none of these are the case. Check out lolking stats.

"If she's out of range" this is a cost that every ability must pay, tho. Even nids hop is short (in addition to having a target of nid herself), and if she uses it, it goes on CD and she risks it not being up for a fight to damage an enemy.

If nid is in a fight, she will save her hop for movement in the fight, meaning she sees arguably the most benefit from using it in a team fight. Yes, I know about her ability to hop for free until she gets back in lane and yes I think it's a problem.

Kalista pays no cost. If no one is in range, no one can hurt her. Global abilities do have range, but this is a risk all champs face, not just Kalista. If someone is in range, they may or may not be able to hurt her (see melee champs). This is problematic and toxic.

"Being in range" is a cost that harmful abilities must already pay, and is a redundant, unnecessary, false restriction. It is false because ALL harmful abilities (even globals) MUST be in range. In addition, global abilities have travel time... It is not a cost at all as ALL team fights involve SOMEONE in range, so this "requirement" is ALREADY in EVERY teamfight, automatically fulfilled by the inherent nature of teamfights.

Saying "she cant hurt you if she cant get in range" is uninteresting counterplay and is arguably difficult considering she can kite if she is chasing or being chased. So you change directions and go the other way. Congratulations. You STILL have to GET IN RANGE to try to hurt her.

FFS. Not venting at you man so dont take it that way. Do appreciate the calm logical discussion, really.

Arveanor3 votes

I think the point here is that champions who don't need to be in range can also use their spells for roaming etc. Not that anyone is saying Kalista isn't a problem, but there is a distinction to be made.

Edbwn2 votes

Exactly. I don't get why people use the excuse "oh, Kalista can only use her passive when she's in AA range, so it's situational!" Uhh, yeah, she doesn't need to hop away from people when there are no people trying to kill her :/

Caezium2 votes

In combat mobility is really strong. Out of combat mobility is only particularly good at catching people out. (think like TF, he isn't going to use his ult in a fight most of the time)

Jamnon1 votes

Exactly. Champs who use mobility to get somewhere will approach combat differently than "just using it when its on cooldown" like the case of Nid hopping. Additionally, there will be many a trade where switching forms will benefit her so she can throw a spear or whatever.

This "nid's mobility is always up" while having some basis, ignores the fact that her mobility has cooldowns. Kalistas must "wait for the AA to complete" which isnt that long and as she gets geared, is functionally non-existent in comparison. So this price she pays is literally overcome as she gets gear.

Keevalroy3 votes

In all fairness, a lot of us didn't want the Ahri changes for a number of reasons. Why slapping mobility on her was thought to be a good idea is beyond me; the transition from Assassin to Mage was a disaster.

Hawkefire3 votes

I disagree, simply because her assassin playstyle was pretty much a lot worse. It relied on landing a single skill (charm) and if you landed that skill, the enemy died. If you didn't land that skill? Well, if the enemy is smart (and is able to retaliate) then you either just died, or had to blow your ult / use flash to try and escape. At least now her playstyle isn't so binary.

That's what made her a balanced assassin. Her kit rewarded you for being patient and hitting your skillshots when you needed them, and punished you for mindlessly spamming because you would be too low on mana to burn your ult to escape otherwise.

At least now her playstyle isn't so binary.

I don't know if I could disagree more with this claim. Her kit now* promotes* mindless spamming, then if that wasn't enough, she has added mobility now to run away like a frightened kitten if something should go wrong. Everyone plays her like this, because the assassin route is no longer possible.

It was argued that she didn't need DFG to do her job because people pointed out that one of the highest rated Ahri players never built it. You could say that's proof that there were multiple ways to play here before. Now? Everyone uses the kite-mage playstyle that got her nerfed originally when Riot wanted to add diversity.

In my opinion, this was an abysmal rework. /salt

Hawkefire1 votes

SKILLSHOT, not skillSHOTS, she only had to land her charm and from their she basically won the fight. Unless of course the Ahri was an idiot and somehow missed her Q on a CCed target.

disregardable2 votes

I'd be fine with that if its CD went back down to 2 seconds.

I find it kind of funny there was no mention of Riven who is far and between the most mobile champion in the game when you take into consideration she technically has four dashes with low cooldowns.

Archenz2 votes

Look again.

Did the math, Riven can now catch a lvl 6 kassadin with 20 percent cool down reduction.
