I feel like we get too much free vision

Unpopular opinion and I'm sure I'll be downvoted to hell and back, but hear me out before doing so. The shoutcasters have it a million times "knowledge is power". Before warding trinkets and sightstone were even a thing, you actually had to pay for your vision, and you had to make sure you defended it to make it a worthwhile investment. I feel like part of the reason snowballing is as bad as it is now is because of all the free vision given to people. Enemy team wins 1 fight and all of a sudden they have a million wards in your jungle (they probably get control of the scuttlecrabs too). For the rest of the game the enemy team knows where you are at all times, because there's almost nowhere you can go without them knowing about it.

Mmm, the free vision are usually restricted outside of the support ones with high cooldown timers.

The support ward item does take awhile to stack and locks up a potential slot. On top of that, it restricts up to 3 wards on the map at a time (+1 control ward), which means players have to make crucial decisions on where they can place the wards.

Plus, with the sweeper lens, it removes them quite easily.
