Infernal drake is literally the biggest bullsh*t in this game...

Your team is losing? Ok, we'll spawn an infernal drake. Your team is winning? We'll spawn something useless like ocean or cloud drake. Riot truly went all out this year to make this the most snowbally season in the history of LOL.

Ocean drake useless? You're saying restoring a percentage of your health as HP regeneration is useless? Even a percentage of your mana? Maybe you deserve to lose if you think that is a trashy deal.

See, for me it all has to do with timing. If you get an ocean drake like 30mins into a game, then you're realistically going to gain very little off of it (as it's more of a laning drake, helping you sustain longer than the enemy). Infernal is kinda the opposite, as gaining 4% of 60AP or 90AD is barely noticable thus making it better lategame when you have actual items to exploit it with.

The risk from taking the ocean drake just isn't worth it for the measly stats it gives. You forget you're literally being cc'd by the drag while you kill it. If the enemy team decides to walk in you're a sitting duck.

I don't know about that man... Most junglers are capable of taking down any of the dragons except for Elder starting at level 5. My main is Kindred, the squishiest jungler currently, and she's able to handle it without losing half of her health. And deal with it quickly.

how dare u call ocean "worthless" if im playing pretty much any AP champ i would gladly take an ocean over an infernal given the choice between the two...

It takes like 12 seconds without taking damage for the effect to kick in, and if you take even the tiniest bit of damage it's gone. And the stats you get from that ocean drake are pretty worthless compared to the stats from infernal or mountain drake.

CHAMPION damage... NOT damage in general. this mean for supports and junglers (which happen to be my main two roles) as well as any mid laner who wants to farm from a safe distance

it means life is SO much easier mana wise (the health doesn't hurt either)

Yeas that's what I meant. Champion damage.

An incredibly early Ocean drake is very valuable. It MUST be the first dragon, and you should take it early. Notice he commented on leading. You're not leading when the game first begins. So ignore the first dragon. After that, second dragon onwards is sufficiently late that it isn't that valuable. You should have a mana item by then. Getting 2 or 3 oceans may help you Baron after a successful teamfight (e.g. get a couple towers then have regen'd enough for Baron) but in general it has very limited uses compared to infernal giving such raw power.

It's called luck, and it's an unpleasant addition to an otherwise skill-based game. Like Critical Strike and the jungle plant placements.

I find it funny that you're complaining about infernal when that's not actually the most useful dragon -- Cloud is by far.

I honestly like cloud drake more than any other drake with my 325 ms Azir

Ocean Drake is the most useful in the game.

So you say that the only useful drake is the Infernal one? Then sir, you haven't witnessed how efficient split pushing can be with if you have Mountain Drake buff, or how much sustain an Ocean Drake buff can give you. Heck, even the movement speed boost from the Cloud Drake buff helps junglers and assassins roam.

I can't tell you enough on how many times an Ocean Drake buff has helped me sustain through losing match-ups in any lane or even sustain while jungling, how convenient roaming can get with a Cloud Drake buff or how pushing lanes and taking objectives becomes much faster when you have a Mountain Drake buff.

I'm pretty sure everyone agrees that all drakes have some kind of use and that the Infernal Drake isn't the only drake that's useful.

All drakes are usefull. But none of them is game deciding on its own. The Infernal Dragon though does decide the game. If you are 10 kills behind and losing hard and somewhow manage to secure an infernal and maybe trade another infernal for a baron you cant lose anymore unless you troll. I've never seen 2 infernals on a team lose in over 300 ranked games in Plat (dont know how things look like in higher/lower elos). However i see people with 2+ other drakes lose on a regular basis. So yes I think Infernal drake is the only drake that REALLY matters, all others have a way to play around.
