What if we turned Kassadin into a jungler or a better laner?

https://ddragon.leagueoflegends.com/cdn/8.16.1/img/spell/NetherBlade.png ; Killing a unit with nether blade refreshes its cool down.

Another change id love to see is; Passive: Kassadin's basic attacks draw energy from the void, dealing 20 (+10% Ability Power) (+20% bonus AD) bonus adaptive damage. Active: Kassadin charges his Nether Blade, causing his next basic attack to deal 40/65/90/115/140 (+80% Ability Power) (+100% bonus AD) bonus adaptive damage.

Kassadin kit isn't fit for the jg and his lanning shouldn't be anything special.

Kassadin in general isnt special, as he just doesnt work very well unless hes scaled and squishies are behind.
That being said him having a slightly better laning phase would not post a problem in any way, and him getting a little better jungle capability also would not pose a problem, as kassadin is a treading below average.

The other buffs - making his W adaptive - would mostly be for build diversity and to allow kass to, in good conscience, build other strong items such as gunblade.

His lane is meant to be weak so we can abuse the absolute fk out of him. Because once laning phase ends the tables turn

Thats not really true as a kassadin who is behind is a kassadin who cannot function. Giving him a slightly better laning phase really would not change anything; it lets him last hit minions better like a fizz W active.

Unless you think fizz's W active is broken?

Did you play in season 3 or earlier? If didn't, then a small sneak peek of why I am concerned. Current ban rates: Yasuo 72.9% Akali 72/1% Zed 61.3% Darius 52.1%

Season 3 Kassadin ban rate. Over 98%

Giving him a last hitting tool that reliable is silly, and yes the one other champion with this (irelia) is also silly.

If riot does nerf dmg, and slow down the game. Kassadin will naturally be better as he will be able to scale more reliably and have more time to scale before games are basically over

You mean fizz. Not irelia. And back then kass was a monster because he hurt with good bases and good scaling, not because he could W to last hit.

Please, dont let your prejudices of the past effect the quality of life tomorrow.

No, I mean irelia.

Kassadins W would be the same as her Q just without the dash

Can we stop making people good laners? Honestly I'm so tired of good laners because that just means they're lane bullies(especially if they're assassins). Also his nether blade gives him mana. He really doesn't need to have limitless sustain considering his Q is very pro him-anti his enemy and he'll just poke with it endlessly.

Being a better laner doesnt mean youre going to be an overbearing laner. Making his W reset after using it to get a kill will at most let kass push; he wont suddenly become a lane bully monster because of it.

His laning phase is supposed to be weak because he is a Hyperscaling champion. He also has a decent time last-hitting under tower because of his passive on W, so your suggestion only helps him push faster and have higher Mana sustain, two things that are supposed to be his greatest weaknesses when laning.

And why do you really want to add those AD Ratios? For Gunblade? Or one of those AD One-Shot Crit Burst Builds, that generally work only when you are ahead? I don't really see what is cool in one-shotting people with one W, but I guess some people enjoy it.

Hyper scaling? Kass does not hyper scale. have you actually looked at his ratios? Sure a fed kass is strong... but so is ANY assassin. The "weaknesses" youre talking about are also holdovers from a different era. Step back and get away from your prejudice here; theres no reason for kass to be completely outclassed and barely viable, he should at least be able to function when behind and help pose a better threat than "I exist and am mobile". The proposed change to reset his W cooldown also only works when farming, like a fizz W, and would help let kass function with greater reliability when behind. Why are you so afraid of him using an ability?

Further, making the damage adaptive would allow for greater variety of builds and positions without compromising or buffing beyond normalcy existing builds and playstyles. The technology exists, so theres no reason not to utilize it when it can be utilized properly and fairly. It would also set a precedent for other champions to have adaptive damage on an ability, like shacos E or Jax's W.
