How can I raise my MMR?

My MMR used to say it was quite a bit higher than average, now it says it's a little lower than average. How do I raise it back up?

MMR is just another term for your elo, and elo/MMR is raised by winning matches. Likewise, losing matches lowers it. So, win more than you lose and your MMR will slowly start to climb. If you're winning and losing about the same amount, your MMR is going to generally stay relatively static. Keep in mind, also, that third-party sites, like op.gg or lolking are "guessing" at your actual MMR, and only saying what the think your score in their rating is, compared to others in that league/division.

Worry less about your MMR, and just focus on playing the game and improving what you can. :3

Win matches, particularly multiple in a row.

Keep in mind that the various sites that estimate your MMR are only estimates, and so if your mmr appear to have changed according to something when you haven't actually played, odds are your mmr is actually the same as before.

(Also 'average' is relative to your division, so as people in the division's MMR fluctuates, so will the average, even if your own MMR stays constant.)

But if you dodge you lose lp but not mmr winkwink. Also i wouldnt trust op.gg's MMR rating because riot changed the algorithm for it, so it may be different than what you find
