Who was your first champion? First main?

See, I just started playing this game about a year ago when my friend told me I could play as a little girl who summons a demon in her teddy bear. I suppose it's easy to guess who my first champion was! That's right, Annie. She was the coolest person I'd ever seen. Summoning demons and set everything on fire. Wicked. But after I played a few games with her I realised that mages were NOT my thing. So I moved on to find someone I could play better! I worked with a lot of tanks and melee fighters because they seemed stronger to me. That's how I found my first main. When I saw Aatrox, I new he was going to be a wonderful addition to my champion pool. He was on sale you see, so I used the free RP that riot gives everyone at the very beginning to buy him. His abilities were all awesome to me and he didn't have the Mana handicap and his passive was like the greatest thing ever. He was the first champion I ever got to mastery 5. Who was yours? :)

The only reason why I started playing League of Legends is Jinx. I did heard about the game a long time ago, but I was never interested on checking it out. People keep telling me that League was way better than the game I was currently playing (They were right!), so after two years of people telling me to download the game I gave up and downloaded it. I started playing non-stop saving every IP I could get until I unlock her. I do play other champions, but Jinx is by far my favorite champion in the whole game. I would say she's my main, but I don't think people will agree since my mastery level with her is just lvl 2 (I'm a bit afraid of pvp). I've a lot of fun playing Jinx and I never get tired of her!

Gnar until I realised I was not mechanically skilled enough to main him to higher tiers and because his rage was too complicated to manage.

Soma Vermillion4/30/2016, 9:15:23 PM4 votes

First Main was Karthus , but the First Champ was Nocturne .

Zirzon4/30/2016, 7:11:29 PM3 votes

One of the earliest I remember playing is Morgana. She definitely helped me learn skillshots! I've never truly "mained" any one champion, but I suppose I did play a decent amount of Malzahar back before season 3.

I loved aatrox too, but then as I leveled up and played with my better friends I got flamed for playing "A Troll Pick".

I started off playing Kha'Zix a lot when he was available to players 1-6. From there, when I used free week, I tried everyone out but I was saving up for Talon. I just decided that he would be really fun to play. And I've been maining him ever since.

I've been playing this game so long that I can't remember who I first played. I used to switch between maining these champions: Tryndamere MasterYi Renekton Udyr .

But my first champion to reach level 5 mastery and the champion that's been my main longer than any other main is TwistedFate .

Inception224/30/2016, 8:40:05 PM2 votes

Katarina Because burst is op, no mana. High mobility, awesome late game and easy to get multikills with. I will say this, cc is the death of me. This is not the best champion to start as, u need to fortell what will happen next.

Shyvana First champion because she looked cool in the free rotation, and I am going to buy her very soon.

ICANTFEELMYLEGS4/30/2016, 8:49:02 PM2 votes

Originally, I too loved Annie, but unfortunately I never got to play mid a lot (I was the last of my friends to start playing so I was usually stuck Supp) My first real main though was definitely Amumu I loved how simple yet effective he was and how tanky he could get. I still love playing him to this day and dive bombing the enemy team with ulti! Nowadays MissFortune is my go to girl. played her even before the rework when she was "garbage" xD

elon wątroba4/30/2016, 9:56:48 PM2 votes

I think that was prerework season 2 kata and taric, outside that i had no mains.

Takatsuki Yayoi4/30/2016, 11:01:49 PM2 votes

Waaaaay back in 2011, I actually ended up playing this game for Dr. Mundo. He looked rad as shit and I bought his Corporate skin on like the second day.....I don't think I've ever heard his regular voice over lmao.

Nowadays, I don't really play him any more for some reason, it's not like I don't like playing him any more, but he's been on the bench for a while.

My first champion I ever played was Katarina, and that match I was building her AD because I thought: " well, she has two daggers. she must be some kind of blade or something". As to first main, Vladimir. I am huge fan of Castlevania, so when I saw Vlad, a champion clearly based off vampires on free rotation, I already knew I have to play him. I still like him very much, as well as I am excited for his rework.

MrBuffington4/30/2016, 11:12:05 PM2 votes

I think I played Ashe in the tutorial because a friend who introduced me to the game played Ashe exclusively, because his girlfriend is named Ashley.

First main was Tristana; she was one of the first champions I got (free stuff woo), and I really like her range and mobility (still do).

Blue Moon Wolf4/30/2016, 11:55:29 PM2 votes

Garen was the champ I picked when I first tried the tutorial back when the 1v1 map was the proving grounds and was the first champ I tried to main. Back then all I knew was "I like oversized swords" and he was the champ with the big sword. plus the lack of mana really helped me learn the basic mechanics of the game before trying to use a champ that was stuck using a resource. The only thing I couldn't get back then was the fact his Ult was something that did more damage when the enemy had less HP. I know now, but it took many failed ults to learn it.

The thing that actually convinced me to play League was Mordekaiser's lore, something about killing a sorcerer and bringing his soul back to tell all his secrets.

After downloading the game however, I couldn't remember who that was, and stumbled across old Gangplank. Playing as a Pirate seemed pretty fun too, so he was my first main. Still own all the GP skins, but didn't like him after the rework.

Bunb0t5/1/2016, 12:04:18 AM2 votes

I joined the game a little bit before Lux's release, she was my first champion bought as well as my first main. Since then she has always been my main mage.

CatWithAStapler5/1/2016, 12:07:59 AM2 votes

Played Garen until I could afford Gnar . I'm a proud Gnar main to this very day.

Lolipoppers5/1/2016, 12:15:12 AM2 votes

I first played Ashe and Vayne in seasons 1 and 2. I didn't have much success with ADCs so I switched to Shyvana and Wukong. I played Shyvana on release and turning into a dragon felt so badass (I loved dragons as a teenager). Morphing into an angry dragon and burning people to death with epic quotes felt so awesome. She was my first true main. I don't really play her anymore as I find her boring but I remember finding her the coolest thing ever.

Trylobyte5/1/2016, 12:20:29 AM2 votes

First champion was Ashe because I played her in the tutorial, and with that bare modicum of understanding she was the logical choice to play a few games with. Sort of an 'Eh, why not?'

My first main was Jarvan IV, right after he came out. I was one of the first J4 mains. Wasn't the best one, but I did sub for a mid-level tournament team at one time way back when.

Sassmast3r5/1/2016, 12:47:25 AM2 votes

First champ = Lissandra

First main = Nami

I remember back when I had the confidence to go midlane...

Bârd5/1/2016, 6:24:08 AM2 votes

First champ was Fiddlesticks I read one of his roles was "jungler". I had no fucking idea what a jungler was at the time, so I thought it was a "Poisoner" class (At the time, I associated the word "Jungle" with "Poisonous Animals"). Poisoning motherfuckers sounded cool. I was dissapointed at the lack of toxins, but crows are cool too. Until the SR update changed the hitboxes of some terrain, which removed my favorite gank spot, I used Fiddle as a backup pick.

First main was Zilean. I got shit on by this old man, and was wondering what the hell was up. So I bought him, and proceeded to play the hell out of him as a top laner until I hit level 30. Eventually, I found some picks that were even more clowny than toplane Zilean to take up my time. Namely AP/Tank Soraka toplane, AP/Tank Amumu toplane, Blue Build Taric, and Sona mid.

sivir bc massive AD

Sarutobi4/30/2016, 4:11:47 PM2 votes

I really liked Ahri lore and play style. Bought her and the Midnight skin played around a bit and found out I suck majorly playing Mid! It was that day that I decided to just play support!

jr deputy meow4/30/2016, 4:15:42 PM2 votes

the first champion i bought was Zilean, followed by Janna. I liked the idea of versatile mages that could do damage while also having defensive options for themselves and their team. I didn't realise at the time that Janna was a support whose offensive scaling was abysmal; and i didn't do very well on zilean in his pre-reworked state. i decided i wanted either malzahar, blitzcrank, or orianna as my next champion. I asked some friends of mine who i should get... and they recommended Orianna. I was level 15 when i finally got her, and i've been maining her ever since. edit: i think urgot was on free week when i started. i remember playing him and being mystified

redniwediS4/30/2016, 4:18:58 PM2 votes

The first champion I ever played was Cho'Gath back in season 1. He was free at the time and looked cool, but I was absolutely terrible so I didn't like him very much.

I then played the tutorial, met Garen, and he's been my main ever since.

Truly Prideful4/30/2016, 4:26:29 PM2 votes

Heimerdonger in preseason 1 was my first "main". Just enjoyed his hilariously troll playstyle back then.

DragonDelgar4/30/2016, 4:50:17 PM2 votes

When I first started off, the first champ I played repeatedly was Cho. Chogath I thought it was awesome that he could get all huge. I would go top with him and use my ult in every combo, even if they weren't low yet. I still play him, but more mid than top.

My first real main was Anivia. I tried her really early on, but I didn't know the game in general and I thought her stun was too short to be useful. Later on, though, we hit it off.

Anivia is still my go-to mid. Anivia

Hullabaloo9074/30/2016, 7:16:53 PM2 votes

Taric. In season 3 i was running around with a nashors, archangels, and frozen heart. It was a total noob build, but i was a noob playing noobs, so it worked. Im pretty excited i can go back to maining him again, even if he will have to share his place with bard.

SCPJumpscared5/1/2016, 8:31:09 AM2 votes

My first champion was Diana, but I really didn't like the play style back then. As for my first real main, it was the same as yours, the Darkin Blade.

Andrionar5/1/2016, 8:37:13 AM1 votes

Rengar and shaco my first mains Rengar Shaco
