I will say, the movement of his shield to E will probably be better (Wish they made a similar shift like that on Ornn with his shield). A scale of 200% bonus AD is surprising though, interesting.

Edit, yeah, that 0 CD is odd. So rank 5 it becomes a passive toggle?

Chembaron Yamada2 votes

Not a passive, but you can activate and deactivate it whenever you want. Kinda makes sense, considering that the W got basically every benefit it had removed and it becomes simply a tool to proc his passive and absolutely nothing more....

Honestly, W will probably feel like the worst spell in the entire game. It does absolutely nothing on it's own anymore after this change. Which is odd, since the name "Purge" suggests that this is an absolute badass move.

Meanwhile his E gets overloaded with effects (dash, damage, displacement, stun, mark for his W, shield).

Yeah, I realized after I posted and left that passive was a bad word choice. Becomes a toggle.

Yeah, W will probably not feel great beyond the AA speed and lock-on. Maybe later on with the shotgun CD and now with no more reduction for multiple hits.

E is more overloaded, but I guess since it stalls his shotguns, it’s not as bad? Idk. Been a while since I’ve played him beyond a recent ARAM.

They kept the slow on his W which is one of the things I hated about his W.

How it does mean that with it being only 50% AD vs only 33% AD it does do more damage.

You get 3 attacks per/s for 4s before this was 33%x3 so 99% AD p/s Now its 50%x3 = 150% AD p/s

For the Full 4s thats 600% AD vs 400% AD AND his leg shots also do full damage.

EDIT: Missed the "On-Hit Part" No 600% ad Ws

Chembaron Yamada1 votes

He doesn't do 50% of his AD as damage per auto. It is still 36%, at least how these changes read.

What they did was reducing the on-hit damage reduction from 66% to 50%. Which means if you are going to build on-hit items on him like item 3153 item 3043 item 3124 then their on-hit damage will be higher than currently. Basically you will get on-hits effects like you would auto 1,5 times per second, however, that does not increase the damage as much as you think, since it is just the on-hit damage portion and you will still deal the auto attack damage of 108% AD per second.

It's true that his passive does full damage now, tho. Will have to test these changes myself to see how they work out, but I still think that Purge might feel unsatisfying as a spell on its own....

AH you are right. I missed the "On-hit" part. Bummer

kingDeDeDarius1 votes

Well on hit effects will be more efficient now than before. Imagine taking and using born with urgot against tanks, or some other decently synergistic on hits (if there are any)

kingDeDeDarius1 votes

I think so, but it sounds interesting at least

These changes are garbage. I am not impressed. Purge was a cool ability and is now... a non-ability, I suppose?

What Gets me is his W CD

8/6/4/2/0

So He builds some CDR (at least 20%)

But still at 0 CD?

His W just becomes a spell he can activate and deactivate at any time he wants to. Makes sense since the spell got basically all it's benefits removed, it does nothing on its own anymore and just becomes a tool to proc his passive.

You're heavily downplaying the power of being able to move and attack at the same time.

Muramana will be a core item now.

Muramana will be a core item now.

It always was, and now, we finally get it back.

Sadly not really. My tests showed that you can get just a little less DPS but a lot more tanky if you build more of the traditional Urgot (from the last year)

Building on-hit Urgot means you only have like 2500 hps and dies really fast.

His main damage comes from his Passive Leg blasts and that is 100% AD scaling.

item 3071 item 3812 item 3022 item 3151 item 3800 item 1001 still does the most and you are tanky from my test.

p.s I know ppl freak out about item 3151 but it procs on his Q, E, R and his Passive lag blasts that also slow with item 3022. His Ult alone does an extra 7.5% of the targets max HPs and often can get you the kill on a target running away.

So his W at level 5 is a toggle. Press it once and its on all the time.

That's super neat.

5050BS1 votes

Its crazy He attacks 3x a second so 300 attack speed right? But yes damage is 33% but On hit is only 50% so Its like they WANT him to build On-Hit

BeatzBoyFTW1 votes

Jesus, I thought they Ornn'ed him after I saw his W shield removed til they just replace it on his E instead. Whew.

5050BS1 votes

Its also 200% AD and some % bonus HPs

Chembaron Yamada1 votes

Are you sure that it still scales with bonus HP? Sincd it doesn't say anything about this here.

5050BS1 votes

The tooltip in game gives HP scaling but that could be a bug.

I still weep grumble at my forge. I wish that was what happened to Ornn.

What's with the R range buff? I'm not sure that will help his pro play status. Removing the 25% instat death will because currently being able to remove the 6000hp front line tank because of % number you cannot gaurd against, then you just walk into the enemy team fearing them all is too much. Lower it to 20% and make him stationary again.

R has had too many buffs to it since release.

kingDeDeDarius1 votes

Boo. Urgot needs these buffs, otherwise it's just a worse version of pyke ult or Darius or garen. It can be missed, has putrid base damage and ad scaling, can't reset, doesn't deal true damage unless getting the execute. I think it's only fair

Jaspers1 votes

They could double his shield and make his passive to do damage before I'd accept more buffs to this 25% execute, the hit damage can be 500-1000 for all I care, at least I can build armour against it. I hate the execute part and anything that allows that to be triggered easier is not something I want in the game (Hate Pyke's ult too, no idea why that scales with level).

kingDeDeDarius1 votes

I don't see in what universe urgot remains a juggernaut after these changes. Outside of his Shields, he will have zero hp or resist scalings, and the shield still won't be anything special. He's more of just another form of ad carry after this
