When Im 3-6th baner I tent to be looking at other windows. The Client makes NO sound or change when it is my turn to ban and ONLY get a 10s warning with the count down sound.
PLEASE just force client to the front like you do when it is your time to pick a champ.
This would stop so many accidental dodges from happening

Elikain6 votesHotfixes are for major game health issues that need to be addressed immediately - not for the convenience of players who think client not being in the foreground when it's their time to ban is annoying and it should be dealt with immediately. The whole point of their new Champion Select experience is for you to be engaged in the entire select, not being 6th pick and giving you time to take a power nap.
This issue can easily be avoided if you just sat through these 3-5 minutes, not facebooking a catfish. I realize this is a bug but you can avoid the problem if you aren't lazy or uninterested into wasting 3-5 minutes in the select, but wasting 30+ minutes on the game anyway.

Midder Scray1 votesMine does most of the time, but I think it's when you're clicking around in other windows that it doesn't do it. Like right when you click something, it pops up only for a split second and then goes back to the background, which happens to me all the time

Festive Bear1 votesMine only happens when match accept comes. Thats it. But I usually deal with this problem by seeing which team bans first and then looking at my position. I memorized the banning routine so I listen out for the sound of whatever champions are banned, count them and know almost exactly when it'll be my time.
bulletbear7 votesIts almost funny how much of a band wagon these forums are, I made a post similar to this, about how if you forget to ban because of the example stated above it counts as a loss in your promos. I received down votes and people told me I deserved the loss.

Now, the shortened timers on PBE right now are a very positive change, but not pinging people where they have an action to take during selection is still a problem.
I don't play ranked anymore, so accidental dodges don't really affect me. A 6 min penalty for dodging because I was reading a website while players take 30 secs each to ban a champion in a bronze/silver level Norms game isn't the end of the world.
Taking the full 700 secs for selection norms is like drawing out a 4/8 limit game in poker. Make a decision and move. It's no limit WOSP play.
Edit: No design decision is going to make me care about what players are saying if they choose a double adc bot lane or a thresh jungle. I just want to get in game as quickly as possible. Either people build a decent comp or the game ends at 20 and you move on. No amount of selection talk is going to fix the dumb team comp stuff.

Pick midlaner, match starts jhin goes mid. I lose bot and get blamed despite the fact we are a team and should help eachother not ignore.

Rakvir1 votesWhen you wait 10+ minutes just for a match to be found, then you're not even part of the banning process, you have to wait a few minutes for the champion intent picks plus banning phase, of which you can't even be guaranteed to have people lock in or purposefully dodge, then you have another 5-10 minutes accepting AFK checks for matches found that are being spammed in succession because at least one person didn't click, then back to the intent/ban phase, and then it's a flip of the coin of whether someone's going to troll, argue for their primary role they didn't get when the other person's secondary wasn't even the other person's, oops....someone didn't lock a ban or pick in time, time to wait again for god only knows how long...........
You can't really fault people for not wanting to glue their eyes to that for EASILY upwards of an hour or more. Some nights, even in Bronze V, it will take me an hour and a half of this back-and-forth just to get to the final pick before the match...and someone dodges. That's when I just say screw it and play a different game altogether.
Wajster1 votesAnyone having the problem where you minimize the client but after a few seconds the music will still be playing. Super fucking annoying, just make it so its muted when minimized but pops up during your pick/ban.

(Seriously, is it just Windows client that does it because as a Mac user, it momentarily flashes roughly as fast as I can blink my eyes before returning to whatever I had in front of the game client, and the sound is usually muffled by something or I'm having a bad day for hearing little sounds.)
