Lux W , is really boring ability design wise

I am not saying it's underpowered or anything, infact now that it got buffed on it's way backwards to double shield, it's a really strong lategame ability when Lux has it ranked and a good amount of ap. The problem is it's still straight up boring. I get it that Lux design wise is basically a white mage that can attack and defend, the current w just fails to deliver that fantasy. All the other similar abilities are far more interesting to use, Morganna's blackshield rewards the player for timing it to block cc, lulu's shield give allies pixie which gives them additional damage and allows her to fire q out of them, orianna's e, deals damage when flying backwards and lets her give ball to ally for some interesting wombo combos, karma can speed her whole team up with the combination of her ult/ shield.

But Lux W? Thats just something you spam on cooldown in the lategame on as many people as possible, literallly nothing more to it, and it doesn't even fit her kit otherwise. Rather than raw amounts of shield, I would like this ability to have more utility, or some kind of synergy with her other abilities.

There should be more skillshot shields like this. Just not the "boomerang" concept, it'd be a straight line.

A skillshot shield is pretty unique Karma/Janna shields are way more boring

That's probably because everything about lux is boring and generic and that's why no one wants to play her.

Sometimes it's okay for one ability to be boring when the rest of the kit is full of more exciting abilities. Even Rakan's Q is pretty boring.

it's actually one of my favorite spell designs
