Urgot's Q feels unimpactful

For how hard it is to land the Q I feel like it's a bit underwhelming. If I remmember correctly old Urgot had armor reduction in his kit, could we readd that in his new Q to make it feel more impactful? For example target hit by the Q, has it's armor reduced by 20% for 4 seconds. That would enforce Urgot' new nature as tank buster/ counter engager. And if you think that would make him too oppresive in the laning phase, just make the % shred scale with Q ranks, like 4%/8%/12%/16%/20% shred at ranks 1—5.

this is coming from a fairly experienced NEW urgot player , what i have concluded from the many games ive had in ranked , his kit is waaay too simple to dodge and very easy to play against , almost every single ability of his has a delay or clunky animation , so many restriction and downsides to his kit:

-Q has a massive delay , while also being just a generic slowing ability (doesnt feel like it actually rewards you for doing anything exept the lock on part)

-W relies on you being in melee form of the enemy or landing your Q while also having to be nearby and it also slows you down HEAVILY

-E's animation windup feels really clunky to use and just not smooth at all

-his base ms is quite low

-his passive shotgun dmg is quite low early and has a fairly long cooldown being 30% total ad at lvl 1 and 30 seconds cooldown as well

-his ult is EXTREMLY EASY to dodge unless your stuck between a rock and hard place

TLDR : Urgot needs buffs , but not necessarily a scaling type of buff or base damage buff , he just needs QoL changes at this point and make his kit feel smooth to use and rewarding when used correctly , dont get me wrong , he is quite strong if hes ahead , but that happens very rarely specially against lane bullies and ranged matchups

Mm, I agree, but it feels like it's suppose to lead into your abilities more then just kill things.

Like use a Q to get a slow, then E in while they're chances of dodging are lowered, then activate W for chunks of damage.

And since the new Urgot buys Black Cleaver first and it works really well with his W, then they would basically have little to know armor at the end of it.

Just theory crafting though.

Urgot's entire kit is clunky and unfluid. Slow, I could understand, he's "the Dreadnought" and all, but big things have a sort of grace and deliberateness to them, regardless of speed. Urgot lacks that in every animation.

just increase the ratio by a good 10 or even 20% that's really all it needs, it just simply doesn't do enough damage for his primary spell

I get that his main damage tool is supposed to be his passive and his ultimate execution takes up his power budget but his Q is a pretty lame damage tool and doesn't have the great AD scaling of other Juggernaut's Q's like Darius, Garen, and Yorick.

lower the base and give it some oomph to match the damage of other juggernauts, such as making it pass 100% AD in exchange for a lower base (like most other juggs) would be perfect

Urgot's ultimate is too easy to dodge. It's not even skillful to land; your opponent has to suck to get hit by it.

First Riot need to fix his tankiness, then they can add a little power to him.

I've been saying this since day one, the issue is that his ult is really really really powerful so they allocated too much power into the ult. However the ult can be QSS'd and blocked by other ults so makes that power allocation a tad less useful. I honestly want more damage on the Q over the armor reduction as you can actually build item 3071 and get that armor reduction but you build damage and you'll harm yourself for being squishier and the Q still not doing that much damage.

Janna's W also feels unimpactful, let's buff her as well

Please no armor shred.

You mean to say, using the ability is not satisfying.
That in fact would be a problem, as one of the focuses of the riot team is to make every ability feel satisfying.

Like Jhin. Landing his abilities... Ooooooooh, yes.

I'm kinda suprised they didn't buff him this patch tbh, as it seems pretty clear he needs some buffs of some kind.

I feel you man. I played New Urgot but his Q ain't that strong. He really gets most of his power from his Passive.

Shrek Luigi8/15/2017, 11:54:36 PM1 votes

I usually start off with a Death Dance and max Q and W evenly before putting more than that one point into E.

With enough AD early on it feels pretty strong, and DD's bleed tick + lifesteal is great. You really gotta lay down the harass though--and if you're gonna push make sure your lane opponent is weak enough to not be a huge threat when the jungler comes.

While his ult feels overwhelming. So what?

LordGeovanni8/13/2017, 9:32:46 PM1 votes

Old Urgot had damage reduction not armor reduction in his kit

Gear5Luffy8/14/2017, 4:41:29 AM1 votes

they should take power from his W shield and put it in Q either more slow or more dmg
