Nasus changes (im a nasus main/fan)

I want to start off by saying that I love to play nasus and he was the first champion I ever played and so I want to admit from the get go that I may be biased about these changes but I think nasus needs this.

So I have noticed that nasus has really fallen behind in the top lane ever since the start of season 5. At first I just learn how to change my build up, although I still couldn't survive as long as I used to be able to, and its good that I cant tank an entire team for 6 seconds now because that is ridiculous. Unfortunately the top lane has seen some very interesting buffs of Darius heals, garen's true damage (if the target is the villain, which I usually am), gangplank's armor pen, and fiora's true damage, heals, and invincibility and these are all champions that, believe it or not, I used to counter with nasus when played right. Now there is no way to beat these enemies in lane unless the enemy is just having a bad game. Nasus is supposed to be the always scaling tanky champ, but with the new changes to existing champs and the new champions nasus no longer feels like he can damage his enemies like before or tank against enemies. Maybe it is just me that feels this way but I would like to introduce some ideas that will buff his strengths but keep his weakness of being kiteable.

First i want to introduce the only "nerf" so that you at least know I'm not just interested in making nasus op. Nasus's ulti gives extra Hp and extra range to his auto attacks (does not stack with extra range on q) and he deals max hp as magic damage to all enemies near him. The magic damage part makes sense- He is a very wise, all knowing god so that means when he unleashes his true form he radiates energy- but I think his ulti's second half should affect his other abilities, not just deal damage. So the nerf would be removing the magic damage from ultimate (also remove the damage from e but this will be explained in later section).

So Nasus is supposed to be a wise and all knowing god. What I would like to see happen to his spirit fire ability (his e ability) is a change on the armor reduction from it. Normally spirit fire reduces an enemy's armor by 40 at max rank, but instead wouldn't it make more sense if the armor pen on this scaled with nasus's armor, because as nasus gains more armor he understands more about the strengths and weakness about armor in general? Also from this perspective it would make sense that spirit fire reduces an enemy's mr based on how much mr nasus has. Lastly i think that spirit fire's radius should half of what it is now at first level and double what it is now at max level (you will see why in a second). This change should also be followed by an increase in cd and mana cost. note that spirit fire should no longer deal magic damage but should only be used as a debuff.

now that I explained the change to spirit fire I can introduce my idea for the ultimate. If nasus can spot the weakness in armor by building more of it then it is reasonable to say that nasus could see how to maximize his own defenses by the same amount. Instead of the magic damage on nasus's ulti give his ulti a passive where he gains increased armor and mr when he stands in his spirit fire. my understanding of spirit fire is that nasus is calling on the spirits to aid him, so if they are hurting his enemies maybe they would help guard him too. The percent increase in resistances would probably need to scale with level of ultimate for balancing purposes.

On another note I would like to know what you guys think of Nasus' passive and q being modified so that nasus q gives 4,8,12,16,20% lifesteal based on damage from only q, and having passive changed to where sometimes when a minion is killed it leaves behind a ghost that lasts for a short while that can be killed for heal equal to a percentage of the stacks nasus has at that time.

I believe that these changes would help strengthen the laning phase for nasus but only if the nasus player pays attention to his positioning and it would not affect his weakness to ranged enemies with mobility.

Pls comment on these ideas (criticism encouraged)
