A new step before being Permabanned

So this thread is in response to an idea I had while reading the thread talking about Shaclone's permaban. When you get banned permanently (at least when an account gets banned permanently) you lose all the money you spent on that account, so why not instead add a step before the permanent ban so that after you get back from a 14-day suspension you get a message warning you that your next offense will result in another 14-day suspension and all of your skins (both champion and wards) will be taken away along with any loot you have (if that isnt already gone by now). Maybe even make this punishment use the player's IP address so it hits all their accounts to really make them think about reforming? Money is a powerful incentive, or in this case the loss thereof.

You are missing the point of a permaban. They are not meant as a punishment primarily. That's just a secondary effect.

They are meant to protect the community from a toxic player, who has proven that, no matter what will happen, and how many chances he will be given, he will not reform.

Your proposal does not fulfill that requirement, but just allows them further toxicity before finally being removed.

You do know they can't take away skins or champions? They remove access for the account to play. People still have access to the account and goods they purchased....... They just can't play on that account.

Would that not be just as bad as a ban? if i lost all of my skins and what have you all 600 dollars i would be devastated to the point of just leaving anyway (bear in mind i have never had any kind of disciplinary problem nor do i plan to ever have one)

A side note;

Maybe even make this punishment use the player's IP address so it hits all their accounts to really make them think about reforming?

IP banning a lot more destructive than what most people realize. A public IP can be shared by several different users. Think college dorm. Banning a public IP would ban everyone in the college dorm that happens to use it.

Your proposition is bad and you should feel bad.

It's called silencing and its been working in dota 2/ HOT for years. Play dota 2 like none of these people that respond to me ever do (i think they can't climb the learning curve the poor dears) and tell me which creates a better community. Punishments you can get around but never buying anything and using account sharing sites. Or a silence and punishment system that actually fixes trolls and flamers. I think I like the latter.

But then again we have a hell for trolls and you don't all you have are bots at the starting gate that lvl accounts for people to get around the punishment system. Heck those accounts are worth less than an ultimate skin its gotten that bad.
