Help with non-tank supp??

For almost every support I play regularly, I start out with item 3302. The only one I play where I DON'T start that is Rakan, but even then I still end up building him tanky anyway. I like the guys who get in there and disrupt the enemy team, so I play a lot of Alistar Blitzcrank Braum Maokai Rakan TahmKench specifically. Some of them I even take top-lane in the off-chance I don't land support in a queue.

BUT, I'm trying to widen my champ pool just so I can be more flexible. But whenever I play non-tank, I SUCK. Terribly. I've got a 0% winrate with Bard Ivern Sona Soraka support right now. I want to try and fix that but it's gotten to the point where I almost feel like I'm inting if I pick a non-tank support.

So, now that the anecdote is out of the way, does anyone have tips on how I can improve my non-tank picks? Thanks in advance!

Bards great, but you got to invest a lot of time into him to get there. I would recommend Nami Thresh Janna over Ivern Sona . Standard advice, learn the champs mechanics, play them until you got a good feel for them. If your squishier you will have to break the habit of body blocking for your adc and trusting them to dodge abilitys on their own and also know when to make a sacrifice play and just tank a shot for your adc. If your comfortable with your skill try to bait people into wasting a skillshot at you and dodging it. Gonna take some time to learn where to position, when to hug waves, how much distance you need to react to help or fight but have room to fall back.

As you enjoy disruption I would highly recommend Nami to you, her Q at level 1 has 50% the damage of sonas level R and 100% of the cc duration, smaller aoe and it has a telegraph but you get to cast it way more frequently so its a worth trade off. Her W pokes and heals same time, giving you some trade potential. E is tricky as it relys on adc, I personly recommend using it when their auto is mid air on a champ as it insta uses a charge on impact, or at times to self cast and use the slow to set up your Q. R disrupts teamfights well and causes havoc in jungle engagements.

Thresh: Don't spam hooks. Don't always take them when you do land them. It's mostly a positional awareness with knowing if your ADC will be able to back you up and get something done.

Nami (and any healer): You don't need to keep your adc topped off at 100% health. Don't waste mana if they're at 75% or above. With Soraka it can be done if you hit Q's and get that sweet rejuv to refill yourself in the process. Nami: You can Alt+W to heal yourself and bounce to an enemy then back to your adc without having to move your mouse to the enemy to hit. You can use this to make a move action towards the enemy, use the spell when in range and immediately retreat if you've got your curser behind you. The speed boost on this also helps to make trades the enemy can't follow up on.

Janna: Don't spam shield during laning phase, and NEVER spam tornado. Early in laning you can shield yourself to poke and get spelltheif's stacks (if you take that item over Coin). Just practice Tornado angles for peeling.

Lulu Karma Sona are probably better to start taking first and you can do what I did when I first tried to switch from tanky to non-tanky and take your tank runes with the proper masteries to help boost your survivability in games and especially in laning phase.

My problem was positioning at first so maybe make sure that when poking that you never put yourself in a position to be overly compromised ie don't leave the safety of your own minion wave. In teamfights make sure you're standing middle to back line
