Lee Sin and his damage

Note I play Lee Sin a lot because I like his flexibility but he doesn't have any strengths other than his early game dueling.

I built full damage as Lee Sin last night. It was ok. You can basically pretend to be an ADC but man if you get caught you are so dead.

You hit like a truck but you are made out of paper.

Main reason behind this: His ult scales 200% off of AD. I play Lee a lot and it makes him really viable as a bruiser. His E scales 100% off of AD as magic damage (dafuq on this). His Q scales 90% AD on each cast off of AD up to 180% total.

Now you may say this encourages Lee to build full damage, but think of it this way. I had around 500+ AD (about 400 bonus AD) building full AD with no armor pen. This means that I had #1 nothing to kill tanks and #2 no real sustained damage. This means that my ult was doing potential 1400+ to anyone who was dumb enough to not build armor or around 1000 due to max rank armor values.

I was capable of nuking an ADC but the second I had to fight someone with enough sustain and tankiness to live though my burst I died.

A normal game for me is bruiser Lee Sin who peels for the carries or engages on fights because people just have a negative stigma against Lee and will focus me even if I am full tank and don't die for over 3s with an entire team focusing me.

For the future of Lee Sin, he is not really an issue. He just has a lot of flexibility due to his kit being very balanced in all regards. That being said, he has no real weakness because he is a jack-of-all-trades master of none.

If you want to go after him for counter play look at converting his magic damage to physical. Why? Because most characters will always have more armor than MR and that mixed damage has always caused problems. Maybe look at making his ult do less damage to enemies hit by his initial target.

They have taken away a lot of utility lately from him whether it be in his shield or in his tempest, he has lost a lot and people are still complaining. Instead of gut gut gut, maybe think about just trimming off some of the problem areas.

I think lee sin has enough mechanics to out play opponents rather than straight up duels or bursting kinda like yasuo

No, gut the damage AND knockback range on his ult, make every basic spell cost less. Make him more spammy, diving, killing, and less using freelo ult for dmg, peel, LCS plays, and survivability.
