Kassadin Buffs are gonna bust him. Sincerely, Kassadin main

I've been maining Kassadin for 2 seasons and I've played him a good amount near masters elo last season. As it is, he's already really strong. The only thing is that even pros still haven't figured out how to build or play him to his full potential. Specifically the AP buff on his R is extremely unnecessary. I've been playing this champion since season 3. Please just take my word for it that this buff is going to bust him, and I don't want to see my favorite champion nerfed into the ground again as compensation.

After kassadin got reworked I had to wait so many months before he was even remotely viable again. Please don't put me through that again. He's good and he's balanced right now. Please don't break him. If you really want to buff him, give him base MR per level. Touching his abilities aren't going to lead to good places. I can even link a video of Dyrus vouching for me.

Please remove the ap scaling buff on his R. Please do not buff his damage.

kassadin already has huge ramp ups, weve already seen what happens when kassadin deals too much damage.... he starts "outplaying" you and your whole team because hes a monster.

if kassadin gets anything it should be better bulk and regen so he can survive laning phase a bit more reliably.

I wondering how much of it is that a lot of the power of his kit is going into countering mages, but Lethality the way it is recently means he's mainly fighting AD champions and not AP champions.

Kassadin beats zed just fyi, and that's without zhonyas and without exhaust

I did not know that! Is it more of a skill matchup?

Please explain how, it seems Zed has a severe advantage because he can just rush a hexdrinker.

Uhhh, Kassadin already has a really easy lane phase. Kassadin doesn't have mid lane counters so much as he has game counters. The weakness of kassadin is you don't spike till 2 items. But when you spike, if you dont have a huge gold deficit, you pretty much win if you built correctly. But with these changes, Kassadin is going to hit his power spike a lot sooner, and the window to take advantage of his power trough is going to be very very short.

i can remember the horrors of 98% banrate kassadin still having nightmares

So you go Tear into ROA into AA into Lichbane on Kass? That's pretty hype. Why go this build?

And tbh I'm inclined to agree. Kassadin has some weaknesses but he feels mostly fine to me, and though hardly pick or ban meta I see him used in high elo with success often enough. In NA his pick rate in masters and challenger is decent. Not amazing, but all right.

Actually a lot of high-elo Kassadin mains have been using the Hextech item that shoots the ice out (the one that builds from Catalyst) instead of ROA because ROA only gives a little extra HP, meanwhile you get the AP and mana up-front (which is what you actually care about on Kass) and the active slow from the ice (which helps deal a little more damage).

Actually I wasn't asking about what "a lot of high elo Kassadin mains have been doing" and was only asking about what the OP was doing, which is building ROA and AA.

"High-elo" kassadin mains do not know how to build/play kassadin. Most pros don't. That's why is competitive win rate sucks, but my win rate has been sitting around 60-80% for 2 seasons

TheGrot1 votes

It's a long explanation, but in short Archangels gives you a better power spike than lich bane for the same cost and gives more than just raw damage.

TheGrot1 votes

That's because 3 item Kassadin without tear is still fine as long as you build lich bane. But if you don't build archangels, your gonna fall of really hard going into late game. Watch any competitive game with Kassadin, and you'll see that if the game isn't decided after 3-item kassadin, then almost every time the team with kassadin will lose. That's because the build pros go with is only good for a 3 item power spike but it doesn't maintain its power throughout the game.

If Riot is really, really determined to give him a buff, they could buff "channel interrupt" as a mechanic. The only other champion they'd buff is Viktor who could use a non-damage related buff anyways.

Sagan Forever1 votes

His q is a channel interrupt. [slayer-jinx-catface]

I actually couldn't remember what the channel interrupt was on, and though it was on his E.
