He has mana sustain, poke, long ranged AoE nuke, % Max HP knockback, AoE melee, and resistance shred. As well as a resistance self buff.

But then again I guess now Darius gets a taste of his own medicine since he learns what its like to lane against him for 90% of toplaners.

Yeah, there aren't a lot of champions that are a bigger asshole than Jayce. The %%%%% auto's you, and when you hook him in the %%%%% knocks you back like he never gave a shit, and continues doing what he was doing.

Also this isn't news. Jayce has always been a good pick against Darius and Garen. All ranged champs are. Quinn/vayne/teemo etc etc are all good picks.

luckmallory1 votesYou will never be able to go hammer form for mana back against the juggernauts. Your ranged form counters them, they counter your melee form.
ReshiKillim1 votesI've been able to do so, mainly after poking them until they started falling back. Once they start trying to be aggressive towards me in my melee, I either switch and run backwards or just knock them back and run backwards, Melee Jayce DOES have the needed tool to disengage from them, though he's definitely nowhere as strong as his ranged against them when melee.

Why not lol? His melee e is what fucks up Darius, you can cancel his pull with your knockback.

Also, the reworked Darius is a nightmare for anyone. You cant just poke him out of lane anymore and unless you have 2 or 3 escapes you are dead as he has 2 ridiculous slows.
Also Darius pull range = Jayce auto range. He is still a solid counter but definitely not an auto win lane anymore. I competent Darius player can wipe the floor with jayce given the opportunity.

You don't actually cancel the cast, he pulls you in and then he knocks you back. He can't hit q on you anymore either because of his knockback. A good Jayce should be able to rape a Darius any time, his kit's just way more flexible anyways.

My thought exactly, but he does have everything else and he does somewhat counter them. Maybe he is talking about mana sustain melee passive? Not good to use against Juggs though.
