Jungle and Mana Changes Instead of AD and Crit... Why?

I can kind of see where the jungle changes came from "New map needs new jungle gameplay", although i don't think anyone really asked for it.

The mana changes also came out of the blue, but for a good reason, though the reasoning behind why they were in the state they had been in was because of manaless assassins or fighters having a feast of mana heavy users in the mid/top lane, because they could sustain for much much longer periods of time before recalling giving them the level and farm advantage.

AD casters still stomp on tanks because of Armor Pen and item 3153, then AD still gets some of the best itemized options in the game, item 3074 item 3142 item 3153.

Crit is still insane. It's that simple, buying an item 3031 Alone puts AD champions in a position where they will randomly (based on their crit chance) hit the target with an auto attack that's equally as strong or stronger than a CD based skillshot from a APC stacking AP.

I think that this has more to do with how insane crit is rather than the stat alone, but lifesteal is absolutely insane right now too, a single auto attack in the mid game can heal for over 100 health easily, which calculating HPS (heals per second) is higher than most every champion with built in heals.

Yeah because AP definitely have the worst itemization, like Zhonya causing the death of melee in teamfights and DFG being a superior assassin item than whatever AD use to build these days.

The most OP assassins are AP for some reason... (Fizz, Katarina.)

While i will agree that both of those are very good items, there is still a 1600 gold wall that you have to over come to get them.

Oh yeah, something else. Most AP items are designed with the health armor/mr built in and AD items are general made without any excess stats. So the survivability can be dedicated items like item 3143 or item 3065, while buying one of those items on an AP champion is a huge hit to their scaling.

The jungle was in a stale state with four junglers being the only viable option Elise Khazix LeeSin Vi Riot reworked the jungle in the hopes of opening it up to all possible junglers. The trade off being, while anyone can jungle, the old days of farming up before ganking every lane was gone. You either have to focus on farming into your power game, or focus on ganking all day and all night. And not just ganking, successfully ganking.

AD and Crit aren't nearly in as bad a spot, needs some tweaking, but hardly as shut out as the jungle was.

But is that a jungle based problem or one of champion design?

While the jungle was changed in hopes to increase the pool of champions picked, vi, lee and kha are still just as effective, elise stopped seeing play for champion change reasons.

Though because the jungle is harder to effectively do now, a lot of champions either have a hell of a time trying to clear effectively or staying at a reasonable health pool to actually act

Counter jungling is harder now, but more rewarding. Meanwhile, tank junglers that figure out good routes for them to hit six with are able to make it a lot better after their initial clear. Even Lee Sin has seen some struggling in the new jungle, no longer able to just clear his own jungle, clear the opponent jungle, clear the opponent jungler, and just dominate all lanes. Even the supposed Broken champ has to make a choice in how he handles the new jungle.
