3/11 PBE Update: New Amumu, Nami, Nasus, Soraka, & Udyr April Fools' skins, Champion Mastery system, and more

** Miscellaneous **

Added String Data: "WIP Map for updates to the Howling Abyss" & "Howling Abyss WIP". No details and the map is not up for testing yet.

The PBE only jungle camp damage test buff is back! See this post for more information and feel free to submit your data over on the PBE boards.

Two new "3053 and 3052" items were added to the shop on the PBE, although ricklessabandon has confirmed they were just partial files for items they had previously experimented with and will be cleaned up.

** A few urf-tastic sounding text strings for "Awesome Buff of Awesomely Awesome Buffing", "Shield Overload", and "Heal Embargo" have been uncovered. **

You can stop begging for it now. summoner 31

Rito: BRING SEXY URF BACK -April 1- Rito: lol April fools, there is no urf

I doubt riot would do that because of the MASSIVE (and I mean massive) shitstorm that would occur and would not stop for weeks. And you thought the Veigar and kassadin nerfs were bad.

"Heal Embargo" sounds like a way to prevent Sona and Soraka from being disabled (aka a heal nerf). Shield Overload sounds like either a shield buff or a forced minimum cooldown on shields. Maybe both.

Shield Overload: This unit has a shield that can’t handle the sheer amount of awesome. Non-ultimate shields cast by this unit have stat scaling.

Heal Embargo: Direct healing effects are less effective. Heal effectiveness will increase gradually over the course of the game.

Awesome Buff of Awesomely Awesome Buffing: Mana and Energy consumption reduced by 100%. Cooldown Reduction on Abilities, Activated Items and Summoner Spell, Tenacity and Tenaciousness, Movement Speed and Speed while Moving, Attack Speed Bonuses increased by X% (different ratio for Ranged Champions) Critical Strikes deal additional base damage. Health Costs reduced.

Quote, or link. I cannot find it, and if News of Legends has something so does Surrender at 20.

I hope the Howling Abyss strings aren't related to URF :/

Why? There updating the maps. They might even make it a permanent gamemode in the updated maps.

The new SR is a lot more advanced compared to the other maps.

? Don't really understand your response.

I meant that I don't want to URF to return on the Howling Abyss, and would prefer it to be on Summoner's Rift again.

Yea but wouldn't it be nice to have the updated old maps?

I'd rather have the game mode permanent on the new maps, than temp on the SR.

Either way, I'm happy the old maps are getting upgrades regardless of URF.

As much as we might hope it's doubtful that Urf will ever be a permanent game mode. As much as i'd hate to admit it Urf seemed to lose it's 'charm' after about a week, too many things got too irritating to play against.

That's why they added the new debuffs. As to not make shields and heals as frustrating.

Hoffmisc1 votes

There were more irritating things than heals and shields. Shen's perma-taunt, for example.

They might even make it a permanent gamemode in the updated maps.

If this is the case, I will throw a party every night for the rest of my life.

Featured game modes will never be permanent.
