The tank items update as it stands won't make juggernauts feel good at all

Increase in resistances, lowering of HP.

Randuins pretty much getting dumpstered.

I wouldn't mind us juggernauts being forced back towards steraks, but steraks as it stands right now is such a shitty item to build compared to the other things on live patch.

We can't use one of the new items because it gives massive tank at the cost of dealing 2/5 damage during the tankiness stage. The other tank item is decent against magic damage dealers I guess. We won't swap to abyssal except for maybe mordekaiser who might be the only one coming out of the update happy with that particular change.

Tbh, I think that's part of the goal. Separating out tank vs. juggernaut itemization is something that is good for the game, in the long run. I think it's good that they get it out of the way.

Balance problems ALWAYS arise when they tweak stuff, but the game USUALLY comes out better for it in the long run. Generally.

and the fact that they're destroying sunfire cape in combat is making me so pissed off. I figure what i'm going to compensate the nerf with is just using red smite instead of blue... But wow, what a crappy update :/

It feels... okay, honestly. At least, Visage and DMP feel pretty alright, with the latter giving us the stacks faster so we can use it more often.

The higher resistances give us a pretty good EHP, but I do resent the fairly large drop in raw health. Especially given that it's another direct hit to Sterak's itself when it relies on us having a fat health pool.

I think Sterak's should get a big buff and a price raise to make it worth our while. I only get it on Illaoi these days when I would love to have it on almost all of them.

Like a MonkeyKing otp i prefer the new item 3742 . But they should nerf his hp IMO. There no reason to buy Randuin instead DMP. We need more HP option IMO. item 3053 give not enough hp (item 3071 give same and item 3742 item 3143 give more) & item 3083 is weak... and just work for stupid champ as mundo & garen (yeah its free).

The new item 3102 will be broken.

I dislike playing Tanks but Randuins passive of reducing critical damage being removed might be dumb.

Also, Increase in resistances but lower hp, Wouldn't that make BOTRK less effective?

We'll just have to wait to see what they got on the whole paper instead of reading one line

My favorite way to play Illaoi is going full draintank, and I think I'd have a blast being in my ult with 7k hp. Probably not viable because she needs damage, but It would turn her from a Kraken priestess into full Kraken since she has % missing hp scalings regardless of damage.

I like most of the changes, but I really would like an anti-adc type of resistances like current randuins, I don't want to see that crit reduction go.

Yeah. If there's a clearer distinction between tank items and juggernaut items, people will have an easier time understanding that when they die to an Illaoi/Darius, they didn't get "solo'd by a tank omg", they were killed by a fighter who trades mobility for extra tank stats

I suppose you could at least combo the new abyssal scepter with sunfire/cinderhulk more easily. That's good for Zac at least (I think).

TBH I can't really tell the effects all that well though because I just play mages. I'll tell you this though, the new Banshee's Veil is gonna be annoying as hell in the mid lane.

Kinda the point. They want tank items and juggernaut items separate but still viable between the two.

They have also said before that the primary stats on tank items will be resistances and for juggernauts health.

I hope they consider juggernauts with these changes, they focused on separating damage from tank items as well as decrease the universality of defenses with items by reducing health and focusing on resistances which is great. They need to make sure juggernauts are not left in the dust after the changes; how about one or two more items that focus on health and ability power or attack damage.
