What is the point of picking this piece of white garbage over other ADCS???

His E is literally the only thing good about him yet theres gazillion other marksmen with kiting abilities

You're playing Ez wrong then.

You play him like how fifth graders flirt. Poke poke and more poke. Then burst with With E Q W Ult. Ez is one of the adcs I'm better with because he is so safe with both his range and his E.

A tank doesn't matter when he's got item 3035 item 3042 item 3078 item 3153 item 3026 item 3158 as his build. This is HP Shred at it's finest right here. If this is a strange concept to you, you've clearly been playing Ez the wrong way or have seen Ez played the wrong way.

AP and AD Ezreal go about even in the poke game, yeah, but AP Ez pretty much ONLY has poke mode; in a teamfight, you just have very painful poke and some burst with your ult, whereas AD Ezreal brings the strong sustained damage that any AD carry does.

whereas AD Ezreal brings the strong sustained damage that any AD carry does.

The first statement...doesn't make sense. One spell that hurts a lot is not the same thing as burst, honey. You will not be assassinating people. And AD Ezreal brings the same huge autoattack damage with full build that any other AD carry does, plus near-continuous Trinity Force procs, 90% worth of attack speed steroids, and excellent in-fight mobility.

Lux brings the same long-range, hard-hitting poke and execute potential, as well as bringing some decent CC and defenses for your team. Xerath is the same way. I told you what Ezreal offers over other AD carries; continuous Trifoce procs and strong in-fight mobility. What does Ezreal do that another midlaner can't?

Ezreal is not safer than either Xerath or Lux. He has to get up close to farm (since you're not maxing your Q or building AD), offers no crowd control at all and is therefore easily jumped and killed. But that's not even the point here; I never originally said that AP Ezreal is bad: it's not. I'm saying that AD Ezreal is also viable. He's among the safest AD carries in the game (since he can farm from long range by spamming Q and has an uninterruptable blink). Again, mobility and damage are not the only two things that AD carries have to offer; looping back to my original point, AD Ezreal also offers exceptional poke for an AD carry. Your original question was 'why do people play AD Ezreal', and the answer is that he brings a mixture of strong sustained damage, teamfight and laning safety, and general poke.

Ezreal seems to be item dependent. He's strong when Trinity is absurd, same with Corki but Corki can still boast a stupidly strong midgame without it.

When it comes to poke Varus does it better, when it comes to sustained DPS on a tank practically everyone else does it better, when it comes to safety he's matched in a lot of areas. He's a good solo queue champ for those who can play him properly but I doubt he'll see much competitive play anytime soon.

the main problem ive seen with BAD ezreal players is that they are more passive than a fucking soraka with a leash and collar chain around her neck. There is nothing more rage inducing than a passive ezreal that only uses his Q to farm, and if im forced to support that then a chat restriction is almost guranteed for me. fuck that shit.

these kinds of ezreals are too frequent in silver, and when you do get the god send ezreal player that knows how to poke and stay aggressive they are usually carrying on the enemy team.

I have played a lot of both AD and AP ez. From my experiance AP ez is better at burst damage, while AD is better at sustained damage.

He is far from garbage, in fact I would say he is great at solo queue. Not the best for carrying sure, but if you do not know your support, you dont know if they are going to be super aggressive, or pretty much make the lane a 1v2. Either way Ez can deal with it. He can farm safely with Q or go in with his combo.

"But AP EZ can do it as well!" Yes he can, however then you do not have an ADC.
