PSA: If its super late game and you have a TON of gold left over
-
Sell your cheapest item, and buy

-
Use the active and promote a minion as it spawns
-
Go back and sell banner, and rebuy the item you originally had

Dang never would have thought of that. Thanks man!
This, is fucking genius. Dirty, but genius.
Jesus Marry how disgustingly late game is this lol
Those 1+ hour games.
had a 58 minute kalista game tonight. had full build. sold last whisper for maw straight up. bought 2 wrath potions, still ended the game with full build and almost 3k gold on hand.
had 14 kills and 400cs
the type of late game people rather quit than reach the real test of skill
The ones where teams would not show up on each other's maps because both of them are camping somewhere. Where everyone is afraid of an enemy splitpushing, but they also don't want to risk a 4v5, so they only move out when TP is off CD.
Bump for truth.
Nooooooooooooooooooooo my ultimate counter.
Ill get you next time you promoted minion (goes back to base to buy IE and dunk minions ass while still having 1200ap)
Faker?
...THIS IS GENIUS. Take my upvote OP!

EDIT: Pro Tip: Promoting the Cannon is the best one followed by promoting the melees then casters
actually promoting cannon minions is the worst pick if you want to use it for pushing because cannon minions get destroyed by the towers first promoting caster minions are the best choice if you want to push the lane as they get hit last by towers and will probably last 2 tower pushes if it can cause a large enough minion wave. if you want to use it to farm then its best in the order than you say edit: i used to promote cannon minions for years and just a month ago i realized that if you promote casters that they get hit last so your promoted minion will do more damage to the tower over longer more likely kill the first tower and half kill if not kill the second tower it gets to too if left unchecked

Actually, you should promote cannons because they get so much tankier that it doesn't matter, yet they do a good deal back to the turret. They also kill minions REALLY fast and force the wave HEAVILY in your favor. The only time promoting a cannon is bad is if it takes too much minion aggro before it gets to a turret, cause if you got a ton of things blasting your cannon, then its still gonna die anyway while only killing 1 or 2 minions. Best way to avoid this is by upgrading them before they get into fights with the enemy wave.
Source? I build it when I support now. It's...just...so...fking...good.
they do get tankier but the tower focus them first still so they still wont be around as long as a caster minion so caster will do more damage cause its around longer to do damage
well actually, a melee minion is best is you're trying to fast push a tower in a cannon wave, you promote the cannon if you're doing it from base, if you're doing it in lane and pushing waves, casters, if pushing turrets, the last melee in the line.
I repeat:
Cannons for tanking turrets and pushing from base or needing to tank a turret
casters for shoving lane
Melee for shoving in turrets
Or as I heard: Cannon for sieging, mele for splitpushing, caster in a teamfight, as they are ranged and deal tons of damage.
sieging and split pushing are two different things. if you wanna get a tower down fast and the wave is there when you use it, you upgrade the third melee in the row cause the tower goes in a numerical order to kill them (unless their is a cannon minion as it prioritizes that obviously).
they do get tankier but the tower focus them first still so they still wont be around as long as a caster minion so caster will do more damage cause its around longer to do damage
Does it matter? They can kill 1 tower at most before the enemy team puts them down. The super caster might live longer, but he pushes the wave slower, kill the tower slower and as said, once the enemy team noticed the super, they'll take them down, if they haven't reach the tower by then, 100% useless. The cannon may die faster, but he WILL reach the tower faster and higher chance to do some real damages before getting caught.
the cannon has around the same damage as the caster and same tankyness as the meele only slightly more and because it pushes faster it wount survive a tower unless the tower was already under half hp because it will be the only cannon minion around and be the garenteed second target after the first meele minion that walks into tower range
Turrets ALWAYS prioritize promoted minions. So if one is going to die first, it will usually be the one you promoted, regardless.
im gonna test this again because i usually see it go the normal seige minion, cannon minion, meele minion, caster minion route
Wow, great suggestion, I always wanted to buy that thing but the main items were essential, never thought about it.
Can't you also do that with
?
The voidlings have decaying health after a point once they spawn so their range is limited, doing it from your spawn they won't even leave your base
You don't have to do it from spawn, as the op said, you'll be selling the item back. You can't undo purchases after using it's active, and you couldn't even promote a minion from spawn. Just put a portal down in front of a dead inhib, an inhib turret, nexus, w/e and then go back and sell it for your actual item. The portal makes it extremely difficult for super minions to push to your base iirc if you just put it down next to an inhib.
banners just much easier to use since you can do it from base
to some degree though it would be nice to use this item and have 90 seconds where there's basically no way in hell that just a minion wave will push your tower.
That's better to buy if you want something to use while your
is on cooldown.
if you sell GA and re-buy it, im pretty sure that it restarts back at 5 minutes.
Can't you also do that with
?
not really unless the enemy are pushing. Because it has a range limit.
Also, upgrade your trinket!
holy shit that's the smartest thing ever!
If you just can end the game and play melee your final build should look like this.
.
Trust me NO one is living that burst, or killing them
If I'm playing support I'm probably buying this item anyway, especially if my teammates have poor pushing/sieging power.
Wait, the active CD continues if you sell it?
O_o
Yes, its like GA, you can't sell it and buy fresh one.
you know ive had alot of games where ive been buying/selling ga and other crap and somehow never though to do this (although I won a game other day by buying a zhonya on vayne, using it in a fight against fiddle ult and then selling it after)
Kinda sidenote but other candidates

Good call! If you're that rich you can also buy a GA just for one use then sell it back for whatever you had :)
That's... actually amazing.
Everytime you back you can buy homeguards then rebuy the original enchantment you once had and still keep the effects of homeguard
Oh yes. Of course...
You know... this is probably the most useful PSA ive ever seen on these forums.
Sell your boots and buy Zephyr if you're anybody who can benefit from it.
